The chances are already low enough… I have only ever found 1 shiny raid boss, and it ran…

I trust this game to stick to its own rules about as much as I think Niantec wants me to walk more. If I get a shiny raid boss, I’m throwing a Golden Razz at it just in case.
Having said that, there’s a reasonable chance the Razz would lower it’s catch chance. This is Pokemon Go after all.

I remember seeing a post on this sub earlier this year where a player did not get the catch on the shiny legendary, and Niantic support said it was not guaranteed. Every shiny legendary gets a golden razz now lol – and I still get them on the first ball… but just in case….
