Pokemon Go announced their season 10: Rising Heroes. This coincides with the new season of GO Battle League. There are no move updates of consequence. Learn how to win go battle league and hit legend with this channel.
This week there are 2 leagues. Great League and Ultra League Weather Cup. Weather Cup is a 2500CP league with only water, ice, rock, and fire type pokemon.
I am back to the great league and back with my sort of series of trying pokemon that were once meta that are not around much anymore. In this video I use nidoqueen. A top 10 ranked pokemon for many seasons of Go Battle League (GBL), it came to a harsh stop when poison fang was nerfed. This meant the poison jab damage did much less over time and caused this pokemon to fall to outside the top 150 ranked on pvpoke.

My man Reezy still gets to Legend with the Queen (I think he's at 3200 with it currently). It for sure got nerfed but it's still pretty good, I just hit 2800s with it

I had a match vs a Nido (not shadow)and opponent gave both shields on it, and it teared totally through my lanturn AND noctowl
Would Nidoqueen be good again if they gave it body slam, surf or Poison Sting as a fast move?
Instead of dwelling on the nerfed meta, it might be more interesting to see some spicy selections against current meta

I’ve been seeing a lot of nidoqueens lately in my range due to the amount of ninetails
The poison fang nerf confuses me to this day, Nidoqueen did nothing wrong
Idk I hit Expert already with Shadow Nidoqueen. I don't actually think it's good but it's working for whatever reason. I'm in a Discord with a couple people who used it to already get Legend too.
Imagine Psychic Fangs getting nerfed next season by increasing its energy cost to 40.
Does queen only work now if you have the shadow?

While I agree that Nido’s best days are behind it, I don’t think this is a particularly good team built around it. Bit of a strange ABA line here that doesn’t lean into Nido’s strengths or set it up for success.
