    As of December 2022, Mega Man 11 is the highest selling MM game with 1.60 Million.

    This is only a few weeks in and sold out physical copies I’ve heard and we’re already at 1 million. Safe to say people want more Mega Man and Battle Network, Capcom.

    Also buy Ghost Trick when it releases. Same creator as Ace Attorney and a really fun game.

    I’m not going to say I want Star Force or Legends next, I want a new entry into Mega Man. Give me a new X entry, a new Zero entry, a new BN entry type of thing cause that’s the next step for me. I won’t turn down a SF or Legends collection but I really hope they take this and turn it into new projects to revive Mega Man in current Capcom era of greatness.

    These games were so important to my preteen/early teenage years. Seemed so crazy then to have an oven or blackboard then that could connect to the internet with a user interface.

    Would love a new sequel in the same style, maybe with Lan as the older father figure. The chip system in certain games certainly needed some balancing but with these games coming out before the major internet meta builds it just felt… comfortably competitive to me.

    I hope this convinces Capcom to make a Mega Man Battle Network 7, featuring Lan’s kid.

    After seeing how daddy Rex looks in the new Xenoblade 3 DLC, I am very curious to see what Adult Lan looks like.

    A modern Mega Man Battle Network game with custom Navis and balance updates for the PvP scene would be pretty cool.

    That’s amazing! I bought both 1 & 2. I’ve been wanting this for so long. Every few years I’d find a way to play the games but now they’re on my Switch.

    Hot damn. Didn’t realize how popular the BN games were. As a kid I only knew a handful of people who played/knew what they were. Just wish they were all in 1 collection instead of 2 parts.

    Based on it saying “combined sales” for both volumes, I imagine they’re counting physical copies as two sales each. So, if we assume everyone bought the physical or the bundle (probably not actually the case to be clear), it’s more like 500,000 copies

    Edit: but $60 is a higher than usual price for Mega Man games, so it’s still impressive

    What I expect to happen happen at this point is:

    1. A new Battle Network mobile/console game.

    2. A Starforce Legacy Collection in late 2025 or early/mid 2026.

    3. Possible remakes of the legends games.

    They can totally make a PvP focused modern version monetized with booster packs and battle passes and the like, and it will get a lot of interest.

    I’m not sure I’ll like it though. They’ll have to cut back on the single player story and RPG elements.
