I’m happy for Koei Tecmo, they did a great job with the series these last few years, they’re really charming and you can see they’re made with Switch in mind because they always look superb on Switch in both modes 🙂
As a JRPG fan, I have started to wonder how many of these franchises can keep going and have so much content if these kinds of sales numbers are considered successful.
The 3 Atelier (not Ryza) trilogy packs on the psn are all about half price atm. Even cheaper if you buy from the Turkish psn
I have always overlooked these and mentally relegated them to the sea of low-budget, no-effort fanservice anime trash, but it seems to be getting a lot of positive attention?
How do they compare to the greats of JRPGs in terms of story and gameplay? It looks like they are less combat focused, which is in theory neat, but in practice always seems to mean the gameplay is almost nonexistent due to shallow crafting/sim mechanics.
