It’s not quite the same thing, but give it a little turn as your buddy and watch what it does while walking around on the map.
How many times are you realistically going to watch the animation

Yes at first but after seeing it three times because I couldn’t choose in which ball to catch it, I got annoyed with it. As well not being able to change your ball like normally.

That’s just all the *this Pokemon cannot be transferred* Pokemon too. Way to force me to keep stuff I don’t want Niantic.
