Ive just been playing this team in GL ever since it came back 2 weeks ago. Shadow ninetales and shadow swampert sweep potential is insane in neutral games
that`s one of the teams i would go to, IF i would be already in the elo where the counter teams are more "set"… like for me, i see so much pelipper, swampert and medicham, or azumarills and so on, no chance with that team sadly -.-, generally alot of random picks like jellicent or leads that would be totally lost normally, but kinda counter this team =(. i saw a lanturn, azumarill and walrein team yesterday xD
Okay so the elo is similar to chess. Grandmasters win rate in chess is about 60%, not 85% as one would assume. People with the same elo as you are play as good as you slightly more or less. If you are playing a tennis match with somebody who is as good as you, the win rate would wont be siginicantly different. If you start beating a lot of people at your level, you will climbing up the latter until you reach 50/50 again because your opponents are evenly matched with you again. Elo at all levels should be between 40/60 hypothetically
You think I can use Dunsparce instead of gfisk? I just hate gfisk and I hate using super meta mons. I was gonna crack and just try this team for the heck of it. And I'm pretty sure I can pull off using Dunsparce instead haha

I just hit expert today going Medicham + Noctowl + shadow zard.
Its a very fun team, I’d say give it a try. You have to team read the bastidon though, if its a bastidon back line you want to safe swap sacrifice shadow zard. Otherwise they just stall the clock out and swap out.
Been trying different things before seeing this. I've been hounded by multiple grass types, vigoroths, I'm definitely not as practiced as I like. Too many battles that could have gone my way if I had saved a shield, such a learning curve.
Ah nice, ive been trying to find a solid 3rd for my Swamp / S.A9 core. I didnt want to invest too much into a Gfisk before seeing some gameplay
i think what make this team so deadly, and what i hope will soon become meta within team building, is the fact this core has 2 closers. you can close with swampert if you’re reading it’ll be strong in the back or you can close w a9 if you think it’ll be strong against their back line. we haven’t really seen many teams with 2 really good closers in the past. like the traditional medi + noctowl with like a lanturn or whatever other pivot, not only is highly used therefore everyone brings counters to them, but neither noctowl or medi are all that great at closing games in neutral matchups unlike the a9 and shadow swamp.

Swap the gfisk for the owl. And if you have a shadow swampert run that with shadow a nine. Lead the a nine and dictate the shields early and unleash swampert. You end up only using hydro cannon. Even against lanturn

I feel like with this team if they don’t have a grass/water in the front you need to swap A9 out to draw out any grass/water Mons that beat your back line
