This is huge news, this is the first confirmation by the develeopers that >!the game will feature big dungeons with unique themes as opposed to BotW’s Divine Beasts that all shared a theme!<.

I find it amusing that Fujibayashi thinks BotW “was largely two-dimensional.”

Honestly am I the only one that couldn’t get through the divine beast puzzles without a walkthrough? Maybe it’s because I didn’t really play the originals but I felt so dumb in those beasts

    They said the D words

    I repeat
    They Said the D word

    WOW!

Will the game be broken at launch?

  6. Likezoinks305

Ok I’m sold. This game will be GOTY

Classic Nintendo moment, just casually throwing vital stuff randomly lol.

It’s amazing to have a confirmation though and makes me more excited for Friday, this game it’s going to be soo good.

This is so, so good. It’s like they took my favorite game and upgraded it with all the things I wanted. >!I wanted sky islands, cavernous caves, and big complex dungeons like past Zelda games…all in the open world format that BOTW nailed down. It’s amazing to see how the developers largely agreed and have actually done it!!!!<

People who have played the game keep raving about how good it is. I could not be more hyped.

(leak spoilers) >!People are going to be upset when they find out the “huge dungeons” they refer to here are divine beasts with a different coat of paint.!<

I never spent much time in the DB anyway, so if they’re marginally better that’s fine. My playthrough, probably like many others, was 10% main story and 90% fucking around.

They said they wouldn’t be able to include caves if they made a new world for Tears of the Kingdom but Elden Ring did it. The next open world Zelda ought to be a new world that does have caves from the beginning because at this point it would just feel like going backwards if they were absent. Even if it is a significantly smaller world.

    >The four Divine Beasts were the dungeons in the last game, and they shared similar designs. This time, the dungeons are huge and each carry their own regional look and feel, just like traditional The Legend of Zelda games. We think they will provide a satisfying challenge for players. They were certainly a challenge to develop! (Laughs)

    AWESOME!

Yeah this spoilt a lot and I really didn’t appreciate it at all. Bad nintendo, didn’t even show it off in trailers but just spilled the beans themselves. Arseholes.
