Kind of an odd pairing, but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Gamefreak’s non-Pokemon stuff is always pretty interesting.

(and unlike their Pokemon games, this *probably* isn’t gonna get rushed out the door half-baked just to make sure it stays lined up with a tv show and literal mountains of merchandise)

Gamefreak none Pokémon games are enjoyable. Really liked that solitaire horse racing hame

My God that’s gonna be the most unfinished game of all time.

  4. So great to know that the last glitchfest they released made them think they should focus less on their main IP. I’m sure the next game will be great.

Is scarlet and violet compatible with Home yet?

  5. Hard pass on anything game freak makes nowdays, not after little town hero

After Tembo the Badass Elephant (while pretty good) was a major contributing factor to Pokemon Z getting shelved and Little Town Hero bombed and took significant dev time away that could’ve been spent polishing Sword and Shield, I don’t like the implications this has for the Pokemon series. (unless they actually hire more people, but fat chance of that.)

I always forget that Nintendo doesn’t own Game Freak.

  8. HeyItsMeRay

Dint they already tried one years ago forgot the name “my hero something like a turn based rpg game and it flop hard

  9. Not holding my breath. Their non-Pokemon games weren’t total flops, but the only one that didn’t leave my mind the second I put it down was Drill Dozer from 2005.

Feel very meh, game freak aren’t really all that great as devs. They can barely even take care of their golden. Private division does sound like a solid choice and i hope this means game freak will do more collabs in the future

I wonder if it’s going to be an actual action adventure game like Zelda or Metroid, or an “Adventure” themed action game like most western developed linear single player games these days

Gamefreak permanently lost me a customer. I wont be taken a sucker by this company that stopped giving shits years ago

  13. Kirbinator_Alex

Can’t wait for this to flop like all of their other non-pokemon attempts.

Cool concept art but that’s it, knowing gamefreak as a company, they’ll probably spectacularly fail in creating anything meaningful. Legit the only game that they made that plays good once they’ve entered the 3D space is Legend Arceus.

I feel GF REALLY wants to take off as their own game developer instead of “The Pokemon Games Developer.” They’ve tried time and again with little projects getting nowhere. If only TPC/Nintendo would pass the Pokemon main games development to Bamco or Monolithsoft or [insert game dev].

  16. 1buffalowang

Lol. They were already splitting devs between Arceus and S/V and now this? Either they’re fools or in a more positive light, they’ve been putting all their effort into this.

  17. Glattsnacker

I’d rather them just focus on making pokemon games a solid 30 fps

  18. estupid_boi

GameFreak Realizing that the now have to actually work.

  19. JustCallMeTsukasa-96

It certainly would explain why Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were in the state they’ve been since day one.

  20. MarcosInu

They should at least handle Pokémon right before trying to think about new IPs.

  21. RamblingThomas

They are already hard-pressed making Pokemon. Hopefully, they will hire a lot more people and stop acting like they are still an indie company.

  22. jrtasoli

Cool! If it’s anything like Scarlet and Violet, it’ll be just terrible.

  23. Toastghost1

I can’t wait to see how broken it is.
