I didn’t play BOTW. But i’m really tempted to ride the hype train of TOTK especially when i can save on both TOTK and Splatoon 3 thru game vouchers. Been itching to move away from Splatoon 3 physical copy.
Played for 20 minutes so far (Japanese version, midnight) and I’m so excited! What an excellent way to start the game! I’m definitely dragging it out by doing everything I can where I can, but it’s such a cool idea. Back to the game!
Why is Skillup’s review show as unscored when he says that he recommends it? It’s even in the title of the video.
Gamestop called me a few days ago to say that my preorder would be ready at midnight. Never been so excited for a game in my life.

It’s so ironic how the same people who were praising God of war rangnarök and Horizon Forbidden West called this game a DLC.
my biggest gripe with the game is that it again features so little enemy variety, you think they would add onto what they currently had, but it seems like they were happy with the monsters already in, just added enough for the first hour or two, and then focused on mechanics

I love Zelda, probably more than just your average fan. Now with that being said, there is no way this game should be at a 10. So many reused assets from the first game, art, areas, mechanics. Just for that alone we’re at an 8 out of 10 already. If it was up to me, I would put it at a 7 out of 10, have to dock one whole point for sticking with the pathetic weapon damage too.
I’ll be more than happy to eat my words after actually playing it but even then we’re probably still at an 8.5 tops with the choices of reusing, well almost everything? This feels more like a master quest thing at this point than a new Zelda game.
I was slightly worried before, but now I am not at all.
The biggest takeaway I had from IGN’s review (and this is not a spoiler) was that it was so much more fleshed out and impressive that it somehow “made Breath of the Wild feel like a first draft.” Which is simply incredible to think about omfg.
For Nintendo, it was Tuesday.

Western AAA corporations release unfinished buggy woke games with microtranscations while Nintendo is creating well-optimized games that actually emphasize making a fun gameplay experience rather than relying on cutscenes and graphics to carry the game.

Nintendo can do no wrong and fan boys and reviewers will refuse to give an unbiased take. BOTW is a clear example of a mundane open world game that if it wasn’t slapped with Zelda on the cover would have been treated as such. TOTK looks more of the same with some updates but I think this will be the first mainline zelda game I miss.

This is an example of everything wrong with the gaming industry today.
Instead of reviewers being honest, they’re going to lie to the readers to ensure they stay in good standing with Nintendo in order to receive future game previews so those ad dollars rack up as you can bet many of you already read some of them.
I saw the video. The weapon breaking system returns. This immediately introduces doubt to every score listed.

It’s so refreshing to see a game being so great on release date! Amazing what the devs were able to squeeze from the Switch with all its limitations, and I applaud Nintendo for that.
