    Summary

    >Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed is a phenomenal expansion and perfect finale for the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy. It is brilliantly-paced and has none of the issues prior releases have, making it even better than Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

While I did think it was excellent it wasn’t a 10/10 for me. While it fixed a whole lot of issues from the main game like money and grinding being near pointless and actually made me want to attack every new enemy I found and to explore .. the whole set and skill unlocking being so slow was not an improvement. Sure Rex was OP but if you have him all the art kits you are stuck with just that for hours to come, now I can’t even really do Ng+ because I rushed the final area and would have to play almost the entire dlc just to unlock the final art for the last 3 characters unless I forced myself to just do the final area side quests first.

Phenomenal, I feel I’ve been hearing that *A* lot lately.

I like your attitude! We’ll show them a thing or three.

I’m really loving it. Combat is slightly tighter than the main game and as someone who loves exploring and ticking off lists I love thats how you progress the characters beyond leveling.

  6. > Hopefully Nintendo gives this a retail release in the future because it is that good.

I kinda hate that I want this, LOL. I’m trying to make good financial decisions dammit!

By the way, this expansion was the best use of my gold points ever. Ended up paying only half the price which felt more than reasonable going in blind (didn’t expect it to be big because it wasn’t a standalone game like Torna).

I’d usually blow up my points with cheap-ish indie games I didn’t want to spend money on, but I didn’t play half of them and the other half got better sales later.

Digital only Nintendo expansions that take 1 or 2 years to go on sale are my new gold points target.

How long is it? Quality > quantity of course, but the full game was 50€ and this is 30€

I don’t see FR to be released as a stand alone. This expansion is made with fanservice in mind and would take away many aspects for newcomers who has yet to experience the first and second of the trilogy.

So I’m only on chapter 3 of FR. I can honestly say it’s by far my favourite in the entire series. By far. 2 held that position for a long time. But I haven’t even finished FR and I love it way more.

When I first decided to get into Xenoblade, I had heard that they were all sort of connected and should be played in order, and so that’s what I did. I’m currently on hiatus less than halfway through XC2 due to absolute burnout and not totally in love with XC2 overall. But hearing about how well this expansion caps off the series is really making me want to return to finish it, but wow, so much game to get through.

Just finished it last night, my god what an amazing wrap up. Can’t believe I’ll have to wait who knows how long for the next big Monolith Soft game
