I *love* this. It’s much more convenient for everyone but there’s just no special feeling at all when downloading a game once it’s available digitally.
Apart from GTA 6, I can’t imagine this many people lining up ever again for a game launch.

See, I’d not be bothered by it.. if these places did something like what Gamestop did for Halo Reach. Our store had cordoned off a section of the lot, and held both friendlies and competitive games up to release. Alongside that there were raffles, food, water, and even a small nurse station just in case.

I was on a trip go Chicago during the SNES classic release and did this line up thing at gamestop by my hotel. It wasn’t as long, maybe 15-20 people. Seems like stupid way to waste time during a trip, but honestly, it was a really nice way to meet the locals. No regrets.
