Yet another W in the books of Monolith Soft

  2. SimSamurai13

    I mean it’s kinda obvious

They seem to work on pretty much any and every Nintendo game to some degree

  3. NoAirBanding

And Skyward Sword, and Link Between Words, and Breath of the W…..

  4. razorbeamz

They’ve worked on the last few, of course they did

  5. Sanguiluna

In BotW, they had Rex’s salvager suit from Xenoblade 2 as an armor set.

Imagine the salt from the Xenoblade fanbase if they decide to give *Link* N’s golden armor from Xenoblade 3.

Monolith Soft are Nintendo’s crown jewel (pretty much first-party now) developer, much like how Rare were during the N64 days.

Anyone on the fence for the Xenoblade series need to jump in; beautifully crafted video games and hundreds of hours of fun.

The date i played soma bringer on nds , i know this studio is gonna be great, but i did not expect this great

Think this is the most involvement they had as a support studio. With BOTW they were only involved with the topography while here in TOTK, they are involved a lot more.

  9. Regenreun

Tbh BotW and TotK wouldn’t be half the games they are without Monolith

like always nintendo rails monolith causing us to get games that should have been better. Xenoblade 2 was originally supposed to be open world with free access between all titans to do the story missions but nintendo’s in house dev team is pretty useless for anything more than a mario game and needed to grab them off their own game to make botw and again like xenoblade 3 they did it for totk too.

    >”The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom”, for which Monolith Soft was involved in the contracted development of game design, programming, and graphics, was released by Nintendo Co., Ltd.

    – According to Google Translate

Very cool. I had no idea.

  12. In my mind, it will always be *Baten Kaitos* devs confirm involvement in Zelda TotK. 🥲

  13. stickdudeseven

Leave it to Monolith Soft to help on a game or three.

Don’t they tend to work on the environments for these giant games, particularly for Zelda? Is this a surprise to anyone?

Honestly think Nintendo buying Monolith Soft was so important. They make their own great series with Xenoblade while being able to also help with two of the biggest Zelda games ever made in BOTW and TOTK.

That and their apparently great working conditions make them a fantastic developer for Nintendo to rely on

  16. Davidrlz

In less than fifteen years Monolith Sodt has easily become one of Nintendo’s best developers.

  17. Dismal-Fee-6304

It was kinda obvious they were involved since they now have a dedicated Zelda team

I wish they buy level-5 and give them this treatement next. They can produce bangers such as yokai watch, profesor layton and inazuma eleven, but they’re kinda lacking in money rn.

  19. MasterHavik

They helped with the Spirit bomb it seems.

  20. giraffe_legs

Monolith does a lot of heavy lifting for Nintendo.

  21. TheCommentator2019

Why don’t Wikipedia credit Monolith as co-developer?

  22. SoggyBagelBite

This is not news. It was confirmed forever ago…

  23. They are gonna give zelda big anime knockers.

  24. _logic_victim

Yeah I was suspicious about that one tiny little clue that could have easily been overlooked. You know, the quest in BoTW called Xenoblade Chronicles. Figured they may have some overlap.

  25. heliosmneto

Monolith is the tech standard for switch. They literally are capable of miracles.

To this day I am still amazed how XC3 runs at 30fps.
