I was worried for a bit. Zelda games don’t have that good of a track record /s

This review is a bit spoilery, be careful

I started watching Nintendo Life’s review and right away I saw more info than what I would like to. So don’t recommend watching for the spoilers. DF’s technical review is great as always

Still can’t get into botw. Between the old man holding out on the flying machine and the game simply not telling what to do, I completely gave up on Zelda series . I’m supposed to add pins on the map to find shrines??? I did my best and the prick of an old man just wants to laugh at me and not help. Worst gaming experience I’ve ever had and I’m a Zelda fan. Pretty bummed about this new release.

You can attach bomb barrels to sticks?

I shall call it, Boom Stick.

Tears of The Kingdom is scoring a 10/10 all over the place. This is definitely in the running for Game of The Year.

The performance issues are severe enough that it should knock down at least one if not more points. It runs like OoT did on N64 but it’s 2023, not 1998. It should not be acceptable these days.

    Watches review of the game

    Review mentions game mechanic

    “Omfg it’s been spoiled”

    Smh

Well I’ve heard so much of this game, it must be good

Every review that I have watched (about 3 or 4) has said that TOTK is most definitely worth it. It has me contemplating getting the Switch OLED just to play this. I just don’t like the $70 price tag for it though but I may bite the bullet.

I’ll watch this and other reviews in a week. I’m going in blind at this point. I’m not watching any gameplay or reading another thing about this game. Hurry up midnight.

I wasn’t aware it used the same exact world/layout as *Breath of the Wild*. For someone like me who is currently still playing through *BofW* for the first time, I wonder if playing *Tears of the Kingdom* immediately afterward would feel stale.

And surprising to nobody, it’s a masterpiece.

Question without wanting to deep dive into every review:
Is the game running smooth on the Switch?

As cool as this game looks, I just can’t support nintendo anymore until they come out with their next gen console. Not saying this is the case for TotK but there are wayyy too many games that just straight up feel terrible to play because of performance problems.

It’s a shame because this game would look absolutely gorgeous and feel better if it was made for modern hardware. Nintendo has often justified this by saying their focus is on fun but there’s a point where performance problems start to take away from that. Anyone ever try the co-op in the new Hyrule warriors? I did and it’s nearly unplayable to the point I question why they even bothered to include it.

I understand this is an unpopular opinion to have, especially on this sub, but I’m not giving them another dollar until this is addressed.

It needs to be the world’s first score over 10. It’s that good!!

  17. SlightSupermarket177

How’s a game 10/10 if it has performance issues 🤣
