It can get frustrating. I like to try and be courteous by checking the time before I decide to attack or not. If they’ve been in over their coin limit, fair game. If not, I leave them be and hope the next player who comes along does the same with mine.

Not nearly as annoying as the person that gets to one gift from best friends and then just disappears. I want my 100k. I have three currently that have been at one short for more than a year. I sent them gifts. Two of them have been for multiple years.

I only usually do drive by gym battles if the pokemon is dead

  4. A place in Hell?

Damn, dude, chill. It’s just playing the game. They probably want their coins as well.

Most people can’t wait 8 hours by the gym to take it from you.

  5. TroppoAlto

Our local courtesy rule is 2 hrs in gym and then it’s fair game.

  6. For people who play the game? Interesting perspective.

  7. people actually look at how long pokemon is in gyms? i normally just beat em if im by one.

I don’t get too mad if I wasn’t the one who took over the gym. If it was me waiting for the last of 4 mons in a gym to hit 8.5 hours so I can take it over and someone at adds a new mon at the 8 hour mark, 4 players are getting their 50 and the 1 is getting 3

Only earn 1 Poké coin a day? There sure is.

He knocked someone out to get the gym. Did they make sure it was 8 and a half hours of everyone in the gym…..probably not. If you only put in one Pokémon for the day this is a risk you take.

The downside of playing in big cities is that I never get gym coins. I don’t see the point in constantly flipping them before anyone can even earn a single coin. I have to drive out of town to be able to hold a gym overnight.

I never defeat Pokemon unless they’ve been in there for 8+ hours. I feel really, really guilty when I get a “battle in a gym 3 times” task and the only one near me not my colour has all 3-4 hour ones. I don’t knock them out, but I feel bad about weakening them

Pov: Yellow Team every time they place a pokemon in a gym

Someone was trying to knock me out of a gym by my job when I got off work and I golden razzed the pokemon a few times until they left. 😂

Small price to pay to ensure my boi stayed in a couple more hours.

I remember right after I beat a gym and put my Pokémon in someone from the team I beat kicked me out almost immediately. I don’t even remember if I got anything for it. I ended up kicking them out then they did it again so I just left.

I tend to have two points in my week where I am out and about, I try to catch and control as many gyms as I can in that time. Never once have I considered the other ‘umans as being something of concern…

How long does it take for a person to get to 50 coins?

I’ve always been concerned with taking enough gyms to last 3-4 days of having mons knocked out so I can get 150-200 coins before the next day I can get some time walking around or running errands.

The town where I work is infested with bots/spoofers to the point there’s no locals playing now.

I took down a gym yesterday that was dead for 31 days. 21 minutes later the same six are back in it. Happens on all 10 gyms in the town with the same six accounts. Happens 24/7 too.

They are all level 32-35 too, so they’re not even progressing, so they have killed the game for what exactly?

You can report it to niantic but they don’t care

  18. I used to have that dilemma.. then I was told that you get more XP and stardust as well by battling gyms and feeding berries… so whenever garchomping tries to manipulate the park I go to.. (unsure if he’s spoofing) I tell myself.. more XP for me! I will do my best (walking under AZ heat) to kick him out of my gym! Lol

Had a blue gym recently that was pretty low, been around over a day, so decided to take it. Started fighting the gym, but took two full rounds since it wasn’t low enough for a one shot, and one person feeding a Blissy. By the time I got through the first round, there was already a car that had pulled up and was waiting. Finished off the gym, put a mon in there, and was immediately under attack. Didn’t even get a single coin. It was the same accounts. Never been so upset over Pokemon GO before. They got their 50 coins, and couldn’t even give me one. They own all the nearby gyms and do it every time. I stopped trying.

I mean that’s kinda the game

  21. I’m that guy, because I’ll hit that gym on my way home after work every day, I don’t care when you placed your shit and I’ll leave it be until after work the next day again.

  22. Terrible-Advantage53

Sometimes my bag is to full so I don’t accept gifts right away I also forget for a few days and just assume if someone sends gifts but won’t open them that they have a full bag. I also prioritize people who send gifts over the others sometimes I have a ton of gifts to give and other times I don’t but I live rurally

  23. Why? If my gym is taken i will sure as hell take it. Not everyone can just play Pokémon all day. I grab all my gyms on my daily walk.

  24. TheIrishHawk

When someone has been in a gym for days and you knock them out and before you even get one coin they have knocked you back out and taken the gym over again. Come on.
