Well THAT’S interesting. The trailer’s copyright just says “(C) Platinum games” with the Nintendo only being mentioned for the Switch logo disclaimer. I thought Nintendo still had control of Wonderful 101 as an IP, with Platinum only being able to negotiate it onto other consoles as a loan in exchange for full rights to (the much morse successful) Astral Chain. You can see on the PS4 disc and box “(C) Nintendo/PlatinumGames,” though perhaps that just applied to the main game?
I know Sega maintains it’s leash on Bayonetta; forcing topping billing and licensing costs for having just 3 supervisors signing off on music rights, essentially, but perhaps Nintendo really did do a full divorce of Wonderful 101 as an IP, just not as a game. They still control that first game, just as Sega has full control of Bayonetta 1, but unlike Bayo 2 and 3 which are split between Sega and Nintendo with Platinum not really having any offical say in the matter; while W101… 1 will stay at Nintendo, any future W101 games will be able to go whereever Platinum wants to put them with EPD’s say-so. Again, though, in exchange for losing any offical stake they had in Astral Chain; which was the first box to say “(C)PlatinumGames/Nintendo” but now all mentions online and even Platinum’s website just say “(C) Nintendo”
Fascinating.

why can’t we just have Viewtiful Joe?
Ok-Leave3121
I know Luka’s VA is the same as Jimmy Neutron’s but he kinda sounds similar to The Collector from TOH
UnquestionabIe
This reminds me that one day I should actually get to playing more of the original than the first few missions. Really enjoyed what I did play but so many games yet so little time.
