Awesome, the first one is one of the best Hot Wheels games ever honestly. Not to mention it’s such a gorgeous game even on Switch.

It’s only been one and a half years since the original and I still haven’t wrapped my head around all the different editions they sell. Never bought the original because I worried I’d be missing something unless I sprung for the $89.99 version. I’m not interested in being nickeled and dimed but that price didn’t seem reasonable to me either. Does this new one include everything from the previous game?

Can’t wait! I was really hoping they’d release the first one with all of the dlc/expansions on cart. But a sequel that looks like it’ll includes portions of said expansions is fine in my book as well. Loved the first one as is one of my top 10 Switch games

the first one had some really great, great stuff, but I just couldn’t get past how awful the physics were. Even in the most basic, early races, any time your car hits a ramp it could cruise into the next galaxy, and there isn’t even a forced redirect, you have to do it manually. not fun.

I was really disappointed by the first one, after hearing so many good things about it. Turns out it’s actually a pretty boring game with a ton of bloat. The courses don’t have enough variation and the big, empty track is a snooze.
They should have made this more like Cruisin. Gimme wacky cars and dinosaurs and jumps up the wazoo. Give me the race that a kid imagines when they’re playing with Hot Wheels.

Would be cool if they implimented tracks from across the franchise like some Acceleracers realm tracks, world race tracks, some tracks from Stunt Track Challenge, etc
The first one more or less just feels like a modernized Hotwheels Beat That imo and lacked the diversity found in the other games and the animated movies/shows

Got the first game for myself and all my buddies. Much like all games I gift them, they played it once and uninstalled. I still play that game, and all my other games, all by myself. 😞

I hope they give this one better support and monetize it in a less confusing way. I loved the first game, and it was such a joy to play, but it really suffered a death by a thousand tiny cuts in my opinion. Fix up all of the small problems that surround the actual racing, and you could have a real gem with the sequel.

Heavy monetization with a full price tag stopped me from buying the first, stopped me from lego 2K drive and will probably stop me from buying this one. When I buy a game at full price I should feel like I get a full game.
