Its almost like Blizzard is known for being a shit company because of the hong kong and frat boy stuff in the offices and sub par games and everyone still buys the shit. Wonder who the target audience is and how they hit the mark everytime.

I would assume it would overtake Zelda at some point… D4 is on multiple consoles and PC, while Zelda is switch exclusive. It does speak volumes to Zelda’s success. Would be interesting to see percentage of switch owners that purchased Zelda vs other games and consoles.

  3. Will be interesting to see if Zelda returns to the 1 spot next week. In some games, the majority of the audience who is going to buy it is going to get it early. Zelda may be the type of game that families just casually pick up for months to come due to wide appeal.

Final Fantasy XVI isn’t too far away either.

Kinda wack considering not only the game isn’t completely finished it also has single Cosmetics that cost 30 bucks lol

  5. HereForTheFood4

So much for balking at $70 for new games lol

  6. wawhodis

We all know who’s winning game of the year though. Blizzard only makes trash

Dunno why people care on which game and how long it stays number 1. Play the game you want and be happy?

I’ve never understood, why does video game news always focus so much on UK physical sales?

Doesn’t Diablo 4 require internet connection to play anywhere? Bc I heard about someone permanently losing hundreds of hours of progress bc their Internet connected dipped out? And isn’t it the game that is like completely filled with micro transactions?

Hard pass. Still having a great time playing TOTK that I got a physical cartridge for and can play offline perfectly fine.

Zelda is amazing. I was a little disappointed >!not an entirely new map and cities!< but it’s got so much more to explore and the >!fire temple!< was a great surprise and fun exploring. When I read about all the cosmetic sales and junk practices in Diablo I lost all interest. So glad Zelda and Elden Ring didn’t sell out and instead push the envelope of fun, exploration, and challenge.

But d4 sucks and totk is a masterpiece

Diablo is fun. I tried it but went back to my Switch after. It was ok, but kind of grew tired with it. It might be a fun game to play with your friends if you want to do the end game rifts etc

  13. i wonder how succesfull nintendo games would be if they released for every console

  14. Larkson9999

Fuck Activision/Blizzard for their anti-union, sexist, and predatory business actions. They don’t deserve good sales but shit floats.

  15. cura_milk

Not surprised tears of the kingdom is a cake walk

  16. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the 5th most purchased game this week??? Did not see that coming.

  17. Breaker988

I had way more fun with TOTK than I did with D4. TOTK doesn’t even have an endgame and it has a better endgame than D4.

Diablo four is on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. While Zelda is only on the Nintendo, so send a big comparison when one system is against four or five.

85 hours into TOTK. Fully upgraded my battery but barely just helped Prince Sidon. Lol so Diablo was a nice pallet cleaner to stave off any Zelda burnout. I just need friends to do these dungeon with on Xbox

Tears of the Kingdom will be back at the 1st spot within a week or two.

  21. AgentSkidMarks

I’m calling it now that Zelda will bounce back in a week or two. Zelda has wider appeal and most Diablo fans are gonna hit it up in the first week.

  22. Linkquest64

Totk was amazing but i dropped it right after i beat it. Dont really have much motivation to get all the shrines and stuff.

  23. SARSflavoredicecream

This headline says more about Zelda than it does Diablo. 4 weeks topping charts as a console exclusive title is insane in terms of sales.
