Prince of Persia: Lost Crown will apparently run at 60 FPS, according to Geoff Keighley at Summer Game Fest
Played through the Prince of Persia: Lost Crown demo, 60 fps on Switch. Very smooth, cannot wait to play more.

A third party Switch game running at 60fps?!
I mean Mario Kart is 60fps and that is one of the best games on Switch visually and even regarding image quality specifically.
Honestly, it would be disappointing if they couldn’t achive 60fps with a rather easier to process 2D game
It’s a 2D platformer, of course it will. The graphics are 3D but there’s just so much less to render on a 2D plane. I fail to see why so many people keep seeing the Switch as a toaster, obviously this will be 60. This is the type of thing you might’ve been able to get running at 60 on an Xbox 360, and as some people often forget, the Switch is more powerful than that.
Jeff Gerstmann confirmed this as well.
In the Completionist preview video, he said the devs confirmed they were targeting switch as the lead platform for this. So it is not an afterthought to cash in, should actually be optimised well for switch.
New rule:
(1) All games go via Nintendo’s core teams.
(2) All games are fixed 60 fps (or 30 if not).
The problem with the library is it widely jumps between 30 and 60 fps, sometimes within the same game (such as Link’s Awakening), and too many games are badly coded/indie, or not actively overseen enough by Nintendo. I’d rather have a tiny, perfect library, than a vast, bad library that is difficult to even work your way through, and figure out what is good and what is bad. Luckily, this isn’t the norm, but it is an issue for many games looking at reviews.
When a game is made purely for the Switch, or they actually put in the time and money to properly port it to the Switch, then it’s a masterpiece. Of course, dev tools are different, and not all games are equal. But, it still proves that it’s possible.
The question is: how will Hogwarts Legacy play via Switch cartridge, haha? 😉
no way. how is that possible?
So the new character is pretty much ekko from league?
