The Real question is why do you not just make sure to already have eggs before opening gifts, especially if you do not want those 7km eggs…

If you donāt want 7k, donāt have open slots when you open gifts.
In general you should hatch the longer distance eggs first if you arenāt doing anything special. It is easier to clear out space when you do need it for an event if all you have are 2k.

To be fair towards niantic I’ve never really found the egg pools to be “bad” sure I might not hatch a flashy meta relevant poke or even a shiny I want but I never have had a reason to really complain, some pokes are good for pve some are good for pvp and others are just collection items. It would be boring to just be able to say “Hey I want only these PokĆ©mon” it’s rng and sometimes you get rewarded and sometimes you don’t and frankly what’s the worst case scenario? I spent my own money to speed up hatching eggs? Idk maybe I just enjoy the randomness more then other’s
Because that way Niantic can’t exploit us for more money on incubators.
I try to avoid opening gifts whenever i have empty egg slots for this reason. Spin discs then once all the egg slots are full, open gifts.

If you put them in an incubator it deletes them for you after 7km of walking
Give us the option to transfer eggs to Spark.
7km eggs should contain all the regional PokĆ©mon so itās actually possible to get them
At this point I’ld be happy if they’ld just fix the adventure sync.
