    Had a feeling this would happen given her portrayal in the Mario movie. It’s as if they were preparing the audience for a future game like this.

    This is the kind of cheerful and happy Peach who uses graceful attacks and magic I like. I don’t like her aggressive and angry martial art expert portrayal in the Mario movie at all.

    Cross-gen release(s) for new Nintendo hardware? This section of 1st party announcements was quite out of character for Nintendo. Just a theory, but I feel like this and the Luigi’s Mansion 2 remaster are going to be on new hardware and they just aren’t ready to talk about that.

    Might be a weird thing to say at this point, but I kinda hope that this game will have an impact on her moveset in Smash bros. Because her Peach Bomber and especially her final smash don’t really reference anything and I feel like we’ve reached a point where it might be good to remove Toad from her moveset to make him playable instead.

    After the whole “Peaches” phenomenon, they probably had a meeting and said “we need to make a game around Princess Peach.”
    They showed very little, seems like this might even be a launch title for the next system.

    Honestly, it’s kind of refreshing to get a direct with a lot of Mario focus with this game, the new Super Mario Bros game, the DLC for the Raving Rabbits crossover and the RPG remake, which i cannot wait to play, that was absolutely the highlight for me.
