My SO and I had terrible luck during community day. All our shiny catches were 0 stars and all our 3 stars were super low level. We traded our worst shiny.
LUCKY TRADE!
Then we traded normal axews for large candies and… whoops ANOTHER (wasted) LUCKY TRADE!
So I’m hoping someone can explain this.
1. We aren’t best friends yet and weren’t lucky friends.
2. I have never traded before
3. My account is from the start of the games existence, but these Pokémon were brand new
4. I uninstalled the game in 2017 and redownloaded it a month ago.
So what’s the deal? Why did these lucky trades trigger? I find it unlikely that we just hit 1/20 odds twice in a row, but they were recent catches. Is there another way to trigger guaranteed lucky trades? Any thoughts?

Every trade has at least a 1/20 chance of being lucky. Odds go up if the Mon are older. Back to back isn’t really that uncommon
