so that means all that’s left to achieve a mario kart series-complete roster (using characters from previous games) is rob, diddy kong, donkey kong jr, funky kong, paratroopa, and queen bee. but with what, two slots left after the inclusion of birdo and the addition of the new three my prediction is that if not funky or rob the remaining characters will be new to the series 🤔💭
my money’s on nabbit and either a promotional character for super mario bros wonder, or pauline personally. would like to see nabbit/pauline in as they’d be rather unique and realistic additions but truly my heart says funky (or any other kong) and rob 😭

Gosh all I want is Diddy, Dixie and Pauline. Is that so hard to ask. People want Funky but Dixie deserves it more.
Solid set of oddball characters on possibly the strangest setting for a track. Can’t wait to see what other tracks come alongside these.
Maybe we’ll finally get a Bowser Castle – the one regularly reoccuring track theme since SNES that we’ve *still* yet to see among all the retro courses, whereas we’ve got how many Mario Circuits and Rainbow Roads already.
I was expecting Kamek and I’m not too surprised by Petey Piranha, but I definitely didn’t think Wiggler was getting in.
Always wanted to play Mario Kart on the john. Thanks, Nintendo.
Third Party Character believers in shambles
We knew of an upcoming bathroom track for a while now. Tour had datamined assets and references. And I have to say, it looks really good!
Based on previous datamines, we can sort of guess other tracks, too. Athens Dash, Wii Daisy Circuit and SNES Bowser Castle. The GBA track in this Wave could either be Broken Pier, Lakeside Park or maybe even Peach Circuit or Luigi Circuit, based on Tour. Just saying.
If we’ll get Piranha Plant Cove is unlikely for this wave. That’s probably in Wave 6, together with the datamined, new DK track. Also most likely that Vancouver Velocity will be in Wave 6 as well.

Surprised they can’t give us a solid date on this. We still have Wave 5 and 6 to release before end of 2023 and this one comes out in this summer and they can’t give a date?
They will do anything besides put Diddy back into Mario Kart. He’s got one more chance! Hate that we have to choose between Pauline and Diddy though! They both deserve to be in it!!
It’s odd they didn’t show more courses or give a date. It’s coming out soonish so surely they could stand to show us more than one course?

Someone at Nintendo must have a grudge against the big ape. Seems like Miyamoto is like the one guy within the company that ACTUALLY cares since he is the one overseeing the Theme Park and Movie side of things and less of the actual game side nowadays.
