Man I don’t even know where they go from here. Seems like they already milked every ounce of nostalgia possible with the first movie. I guess it’ll have Yoshi + Koopalings and take place in Dinosaur Land. Probably throw in Wario somehow as well

I really hope there’s an announcement of a game soon. It really feels like a Nintendo thing to make a video game based off the movie, which is based off the video game.

I’d at least be curious to see what route they go down. As fruitful as it might be to ditch the “defeat Bowser” plotline in favor of something less cliché, losing Jack Black from the cast removes the most universally-liked aspect of the first film.

Finally saw it the other day. It was decent. I think the end credits scene alone was enough to “confirm” a sequel, though. Anything with a tease like that will usually be greenlit unless something happens. And with the profit margins for this, obviously they’d want to jump on it.

I would die if they went to Isle Delfino, the games story would work pretty well too with Mario being framed and everything. Plus it would be a great way to introduce Bowser Jr. imo

I agree with everyone else about Luigi though. Whatever it is, we need more Luigi. Charlie Day is the perfect casting for him. He killed it.
