Pokemon Go announced their new season GO Battle League: HIdden Gems. With this we saw a ton of move updates including buffs to walrein, dunsparce, alolan sandslash, clefable, emolga, and others with a nerf to trevenant.
This week is open ultra league and single-type cup – great league. This is a 1500CP league where you can only use pokemon that have one typing. Lots of pokemon not allowed in this meta like medicham, sableye, altaria, bastiodon, etc. So how do you team build in a single-typing meta. Do you go ABB, balanced, all fighters, all of one typing? Let’s look at all the possibilities for putting together the best single-type cup teams.
Meganium has a 27-0 record against the single typing cup in the 1v0 shield. It’s fast charging move allows it to nuke frenzy plants and earthquake against everything in the meta. Given it’s bulk, it is one of the best pokemon. Paired with cofagrigus and luxray.

I wish I had a normal one. I only have a shadow and it's ivs are best for the UL

When they announced this cup meganium is one of the first pokemon i thought of.. the only thing it cant hit for at least neutral with big moves that it gets to pretty fast is flying.. and there are no flying here
have you tried running Lurantis yet? im about to build a superpower/xscissor Lurantis bc i feel leaf blade isnt hitting many things for super effective

Donphn is a very strong pick! Specifically shadow! Politoad is very fast on the weather ball! Not electrics been used in this cup so far so yeah I think it could work!

Haven’t seen many running Dunsparce. Muk and Shadow Granbull in the back has been doing alright for me at 2100, but I’ve caught a few fighter/dragon teams in a row.
One match I tore through their Machamp swap with Granbull, grabbed a shield then brought in Muk to farm Cofagrigus.
Caught their Shadow Ball on Dunsparce and they went AFK in rage lol
Luxray has been fun but has been pretty frail… I am excited to see what you lead with in the next video 🙂

Would shadow Meganium work? Thats all i have currently under 1500CP

Shadow meganium, regirock. And a few different third just to change it up. But been doing way better this weekthen all season. Reg megan im sure would be even better.
Would mismagius be a fun build?? Or is it too good lol?

Meganium is one of those rarer mons that perform significantly better as a non shadow vs shadow imo
I've been running Umbreon, shadow Donphan, and Shadow Muk the past two days and have had at least 3-2 if not more on 8 of the 10 sets.
Leading Mew with wild charge and mega and dragonair has been nice for me
What should be the movesets for muk?
Tried meganium and didn't like it. Got overwhelmed by machamp or dragonair or ninetails lol
also tested shadow luxray on lead.. kinda nice cuz not mucuh ground types so wild charge hit hrd
