Pokemon Go announced their new season GO Battle League: HIdden Gems. With this we saw a ton of move updates including buffs to walrein, dunsparce, alolan sandslash, clefable, emolga, and others with a nerf to trevenant.
This week is master league premier and single-type cup – great league. This is a 1500CP league where you can only use pokemon that have one typing. Lots of pokemon not allowed in this meta like medicham, sableye, altaria, bastiodon, etc. Master League Premier is level 50 (XL Pokemon) but no legendary.
Muk has risen a ton as it resists fighters and hits super effective against fairy. With that I decided to hunt for grimer and muk with kanto sandslash. Paired with clefable and lickitung.

I was getting tired of poison, and then i started using sandslash. Now is way batter and now my win rate is 3-2 or 4-1

I was seeing a lot of Poison at one point and then I decided to use my Sandlash and there were no Poison seen; just my luck…🤷🏽♂️😅

You know I had been using Vegoroth, Umbreon, Magenium this weekend! It is doing okay I see the potential of Meganium a lot ( Sandslash) also I don’t know much of my typings but for real why you throw a shadow ball at a Ymbreon I don’t know! Lol

I have a shiny, best bud Kanto Slash from the dual Com Day and I XL'd it to Ultra League. I absolutely love it. It holds against giratina and can contend against Cresselia if you have shields. I run earthquake on it as well as night slash.

Are you continuing the series making teams for a specific pokemon like you did for dewgong post drill run? I would love some for some less meta pokemon for when great leauge comes back. Maybe ninetails, meganium, d. Deoxys or some even more off meta picks like kanto sandslash, nidoqueen, the water spider or others. Thanks
Hey dan, a super great way to know who wins cmp is whoever has the lower total stat product. For example, if you take a more tanky pokemon like gfisk or medi, you will know for a fact they will lose cmp against a lesser stat product pokemon like pelliper or trevenant. I find it much easier to remember who is tankier vs all the different matchups of who wins cmp. Hope this helps!.
