Welcome to the AMA of Pinball FX! It’s been a long journey but we are finally out on Nintendo Switch with the pinball game for the next generation.
A few words about the game:
The Nintendo Switch version of Pinball FX is currently the home of more than 20 pinball tables inspired by big brands like Star Wars, Godzilla vs. Kong, or Crypt of the NecroDancer. The game is free to download and you can play with 3 tables for free without limitation. You can also build up your customizable 3D playroom with collectible items and play with authentic digital pinball physics. More tables and features are inbound!

Will there be any sort of owner’s discount for tables we already paid for in the prior release? Also, will this new one include TATE mode support?

Given the switches hardware, are there any differences in the phsyics for the switch version over other platforms?
Really trying to not be negative as I am a longtime Zen pinball fan but why do the graphics look so muddled in comparison to Fx3?

Is the Bob’s Burgers table already in this one/coming soon? It’s the only table I play.
One thing I’ve always noticed about prior pinball games is their licensing only works for a few years and they have to slowly over time, remove tables from sale. Are you doing anything different to help inspire confidence in the longivity of this specific release of pinball games?
I’m excited to try the game out. I downloaded the game and planning to play it with my son when I get home. Is there cross platform support? If I buy a table on one console, can I use it on another?

You probably can’t answer this directly, but be honest; it was Randy’s fault that deal fell through and now Embracer needs to “re-structure”
Awesome, I love Pinball FX3! Excited for a new version!
I was wondering if there is a cabinet mode available for it? I use FX3 on my switch to power a virtual pinball table and it works really well. Also, if the button layout is customizable?
Hey there! Not the biggest pinball aficionado out there, but I’ve played my fair share of Pinball FX and you all do an amazing job with these cool tables!
I’m a brony *pause to allow everyone to groan at my existence* and I saw in a brony group that you all added a My Little Pony table somewhat recently. I love it, I truly do, but is there any reason it uses Friendship is Magic characters when there’s a new ongoing MLP series? I don’t have a problem with it, but I saw others question it and it does make me wonder.

I love the fact that we have lots of pinball games, and I’ve heard good things about your games. Does this Switch version have sideways or “tate” mode? If not, is that something you might add in the future?
I see in another answer that you say you moved to UE4. I assume for good that it means it’s much easier to port. What were the challenges in changing engines? I’m not sure it would matter for this kind of game, but why 4 over 5?
Do you like to use the triggers or the face buttons to control the flippers?
Needs a bit of work on the graphics, not as nice as FX3 on switch but I’m enjoying Addams family. Is Whitewater coming across?
Are all tables that were previously available on Pinball FX3 available in this new FX game?

Hello Zen. Congratulations on the Switch launch! Very excited to be able to play Twilight Zone and Addams Family on the Switch. Hope to see Whirlwind brought over soon. Is there any plans to bring hd rumble to the game? It was a great feature in FX3. Thanks.
Don’t you think that is anticonsumer force us to buy the same tables each time that I switch the platform? I mean, if I buy the tables in a ps5 why do I need to buy those again in switch?
