    Can’t wait for koopa kape

They might aswell port the entire Wii game over already

  2. troyjrjr

LA Laps looks like its about to be chaotic as hell.

  3. Substantialsquid09

I thought I’d never see Moonview Highway again! It was one of my favourites from the Wii.

  4. superyoshiom

It still is strange to me that Diddy Kong is still not in the roster

  5. noahconstrictor95

Daisy Cruiser is such an underrated track, I’m so hype. Also 4 characters too? What a wave.

  6. dawn_chorus__

Boo! Enough with the Tour courses. We’re running out of time to get that one from Double Dash where you go up the mountain and get shot out of the giant barrel.

  7. FrankPapageorgio

I wish Tour didn’t take away from the novelty of so many courses returning

  8. wigglemonster

As an American I got worried for a moment at the end when I saw it came out 12/07/2023 lol

  9. blabittyblahblah

Oh my dear sweet Vancouver… welcome back!

  10. Nice, Daisy Cruise!

Though I’ll probably just end up playing each of the new tracks exactly one time and never touch the game again until the next wave.

  11. casperslakes

Koopa kape LFG, now all I want is Banshee Broadway or airship fortress

  12. JustAStarcoShipper

Daisy Cruiser is in. I’m happy.

  13. Feel like it’s been expected to get one Tour track per cup, but hurts to again see 3 Tour levels in a single wave. At least these tour levels are a little more varied and not just roads in cities. They seem a little more open and outdoorsy.

  14. Pizza__Pants

The giant bathroom track feels like something from the old Micro Machines games

  15. Mario Kart 8 is becoming Mario Kart Ultimate

  16. Lukarion

I liked the look of the Athens track for approximately a second before the 5 polygon block houses appeared.

  17. Shawn_1512

Not saying these are bad but I was really hoping for airship fortress

  18. El_GeneraL31

    omg so many goated maps

    im so hyped for this

  19. Maybe I’m crazy, but I feel like Koopa Cape and Moonview Highway don’t carry over their atmospheres from the Wii version. The lighting is just feels very bland for these iterations.

  20. No-Buyer-3509

It’s about time Vancouver Velocity made it. Can’t wait to hear the remix

  21. Ravenq222

Excited to see what they’ve done with Sunset Wilds. I was always glued to Mario Kart Super Circuit as a kid.

  22. Dukemon102

Not too many Retro Courses this time. The chosen ones are highlights of the 2000s era though. Daisy Cruiser, best DD course (After DK Mountain), Koopa Cave, MOONVIEW HIGHWAY (Too bad we won’t see Miis in the toll).

The Tour cities look interesting ~~in my head Athens Dash is a Saint Seiya course~~

  23. A few oddities here. Vancouver we all expected to be part of Wave 6, since it’s a winter track. They also changed the time of day on LA Laps from sunset to noon, which is a huge disappointment. Looking back at Bangkok, it seems like the devs hate sunsets on city courses…

But hey, Moonview Highway is one of the best tracks here! Also one of the more difficult tracks in Mario Kart in general. Athens is a delight to race on, if Tour is anything to go by. But we only had Athens 1, 2 and their variants so far. So some parts of it will be new to everyone.

So overall in Wave 6 we can expect Rome Avanti, Piranha Plant Cove and the new mobDK track, whose name we’ll learn tomorrow for Tour’s new tour trailer. It seems to be a remake of the Dokkan course of MKDS. Pipe-themed at that.
As for the rest, I don’t fully remember the list. I assume Lakeside Park and WII Rainbow Road or something? Not sure.

  24. Background-Nothing15

Do you have to purchase each wave individually, or do you get access to all once you purchase the booster pack?

  25. MillionDollarMistake

The bathroom map looks like something I would have designed as a kid. That is not a complaint.

I know not everyone likes tracks with cars but I liked Moonview Highway a lot so it’s good to see it back. I was hoping either it or mushroom bridge from double dash would return.

LA laps is the Mario Kart x GTA 5 crossover we’ve all been waiting for

  26. GrimmReaper533

40 tracks in and only 2 of them being from Double Dash is crazy.

  27. flash_baxx

There has got to be a Bowser Castle in the final wave. It’s been a reoccurring track theme since the beginning, we’ve got 4 Mario Circuits and Rainbow Roads each now, but still no Bowser Castles besides 8’s own.

  28. AquaAtia

With Wave 6 probably going to come out around Double Dash’s 20th anniversary (dear god time flies) I’m holding out hope we get Wario Coliseum, Bowser’s Castle and Rainbow Road from that game. GCN Rainbow Road would be such a fitting end to Mario Kart 8’s tracks. The track would look gorgeous in HD and I want to hear it’s energetic and climatic theme remastered

  29. MOONVIEW HIGHWAY *AND* KOOPA CAPE????

    MKWII FANS ARE EATING TODAY!

  30. spoofrice11

Been hoping for the Penguin stage where they are sliding around, since they are adding so many old stages. Don’t remember what it was called, but think it was on the Wii version.

    *Edit: Sherbet Land 64

  31. Johnersboner

I too am not stoked on the Tour tracks.

They are the only tracks that don’t feel like Mario Kart, in both theme and overall design.

  32. Oilswell

God I’m sick of MK Tour courses. All the other ones are pure hype and then it’s some trash like New Jersey Circuit

  33. Man, next wave is already the last. I really hope we can get kirby as a character and a kirby track. If not, a new track from mario odessey would be really nice.

  34. Zzz, wake me when they finally give us Daisy Cru-

    Wait, what?

    It’s happening!!!!!!! aaaaa
