After the massive success of the Mario Movie, people really started talking about what’s next for Nintendo in the world of animation. We got a couple already within the last decade or so. [Star Fox](https://youtu.be/wA2-0nTxaGg) had that 15 minute animated short coinciding with the release of Star Fox Zero. [Pikmin](https://youtu.be/233Z0WhDrak) had those Short Movies to coincide with the original release of Pikmin 3. And [Kid Icarus Uprising](https://youtu.be/AQFOXGs6cXs) got several animated shorts each from a different studio.

Donkey Kong would be a safe first spin off, audiences are already familiar.
Zelda is the obvious one though. Animal Crossing is also wildly popular and could do well as an animated children’s film, they’d have free reign to do essentially anything with adorable designs.
A Fire Emblem show/anime would be really awesome.
Honestly, nothing at the moment. As an animation enthusiast, I can’t think of a single series that I want Illumination Studios laying a grubby finger on.
In another world though, we could get a sick Mother anime like Akira.
We all want Hayao Miyazaki to try his hand at Zelda, but nothing in the last 20 years of gaming has shown me that Zelda would actually make a good movie. I’d rather Miyazaki pen a Zelda game.
Metroid.
Studio ghibli does a zelda movie.
Just give money to the Fox in Space guy. He’s making something crazily awesome despite being an amateur.
I think Pikmin could make for a great sunday morning kids cartoon.
Sin and Punishment movie.
although ghostbusters exists id say luigis mansion or a yoshis island type fair
It SHOULD be Metroid.
It probably WILL be Zelda.

A Luigi’s Mansion movie at Halloween would be fun.
I remember watching Kirby right back at ya and the finale. Maybe we can get an animated Kirby movie.
