Been playing the demo for Pikman 4 and I’m hyped! Played both 1&2 as a kid but never beat them

I just finished Pikmin 1 yesterday and started 2 tonight. I’m so hyped for 4!

I’m currently playing through 1. I got 22 parts so far, likely gonna finish it in the coming days. It’s really good! As someone who started with 3 Deluxe I can feel this game being old, particularly with the Pikmin themselves, it’s crazy playing so much 3 where you absolutely never have to worry about them to 1 where you constantly have to make sure they don’t get stuck on walls, or fall into water… Or trip… But it’s sorta weirdly kinda charming? Makes you FEEL like you’re commanding a bunch of unruly little tiny-people. I also love Olimars logs and comments, really good writing.
After this, I’ll be playing Pikmin 2 for the first time (god have mercy on my soul) and then playing 3 again (can’t have too much 3) and also trying to play mission mode for the first time, all leading into 4! The Pikmin train ain’t stopping!

i already preordered 4 but am considering one more game. i heard 3 is too easy and short….

My memories of Pikmin 2 are quite harrowing – I remember a lot of death and destruction trying to bring pieces of litter back to my ship. I’ll have to give the HD version a go soon

I never played a single one of them but I played the demo for 4 and it’s freaking adorable.
Once I work my way through my backlog (which just got longer cause my kids bought Hyrule warriors age of calamity) I’ll probably pick them up

I literally just beat it 100% last night. Beat the dream den as a kid but never got the dumbbell of all things. That final boss in the dream den was a pain, especially killing Pikmin way off to the side where I thought they were out of reach until they suddenly start drowning. There were some absolutely brutal level layouts too. Still had a blast though. The log entries, item descriptions and everything were just so perfect and charming.

Pikmin 2 100% was a damn slog but a fun one. Those last couple caves are so damn specific on how you have to tackle them

Did a 100% run of Pikmin 2 last year. Was super fun but super intense! If I ever hear that treasure radar beeping again it’ll be too soon.
