No, it had nothing to do with the system. It’s that it was so uncomfortable to play. I’m left handed and as much as I wanted to try the title I couldn’t get into it because of the controller/touch screen mechanics. Same with, the world ends with you.

Pretty sure it was cursed by its control scheme. Nothing inherently prevented games from being hits on the 3DS.

i physically could not stand to play this game even though i wanted to. dunno if my hands are just big but this is the only game i got on my 3ds that made my hands cramp up so bad
