0:00 – 1/5 grid vs. Bertha: EX SS Silver / Tech Lapras / Marlon
2:17 – 2/5 grid vs. Lucian: EX SS Silver / Egg Hitmontop / EX Aaron
5:14 – 3/5 grid vs. Aaron: EX SS Silver / Tech Kangaskhan / Nita
7:34 – 4/5 grid vs. Flint: EX SS Silver / Tech NidoranF / SS Leaf
9:57 – 5/5 grid vs. Bertha: EX SS Silver / Darach / EX Palentines Bea
Silver is in my Top 3 rivals so you bet I was very excited for him to finally get his sygna suit. And he has a really fun kit to boot, compressing all of an impressive sync nuke, multiple debuffs, and sync acceleration.
I wanted to focus on Champion Stadium here, as I think the seven videos I posted yesterday should give you an idea on how he fares in Legendary Arenas. Since I have him at 5/5 though, I figured I’d build his grid to emulate all of his possible move levels across these clears. So the first clear here acts as if he only has his 1/5 tiles available, the second his 2/5 tiles, and so on.
Here’s how each battle went and the sync grids used:
Vs. Bertha: EX SS Silver / Tech Lapras / Marlon – https://ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=013140&s0=1&l0=140&r0=1&p0=0&a0=21010101&t0=41&n0=1&f0=0&v1=013302021500&s1=5&l1=140&r1=5&p1=0&a1=21010101&t1=44444&g1=AAECAwQFDA0ODxASFxgZGyAhIiMpKissLS4&v2=005200056500&s2=5&l2=140&r2=3&p2=0&a2=21010101&t2=11111&g2=AAECAwQFBhITFBUYGhwkJSYpKyw
While his 1/5 tiles don’t really have anything noteworthy, his base kit already has a bunch of what makes him great. Innate Cakewalk + Inertia gives him a powerful sync nuke, while his B Move lets him skip a whole turn while maxing his crit. At 1/5 the most important support to give Silver is accuracy, and here that comes from Marlon’s Team Pinpoint Entry. While Silver doesn’t have hail tiles at 1/5, this stage wants the Sandstorm gone, so I brought Tech Lapras as a hail setter that doubles as a Speed debuffer to help with Silver’s multiplier.
Vs. Lucian: EX SS Silver / Egg Hitmontop / EX Aaron – https://ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=023740&s0=1&l0=140&r0=1&p0=0&a0=18040702&t0=44&n0=1&f0=0&v1=013302021500&s1=5&l1=140&r1=5&p1=0&a1=21010101&t1=44444&g1=AAECAwQFBg4QERITFxscIiMkJystMA&v2=015200041600&s2=5&l2=140&r2=5&p2=0&a2=21010101&t2=4411&g2=AAECAwQFERQXGBkaHB4lKCst
2/5 doesn’t do much IMO, though he does get +5 accuracy tiles for both of his moves as well as Endurance. Even with the accuracy boost he still needs a buff to not miss his axels, so I brought Aaron along for that. Hitmontop provided Speed debuffs for his innate Cakewalk as well as Defense debuffs to boost his damage further.
Vs. Aaron: EX SS Silver / Tech Kangaskhan / Nita – https://ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=011540&s0=1&l0=140&r0=1&p0=0&a0=21010101&t0=44&n0=1&f0=0&v1=013302021500&s1=5&l1=140&r1=5&p1=0&a1=21010101&t1=44444&g1=AAECAwQFFxseIiQnKSsvMjM0&v2=020400064500&s2=1&l2=140&r2=5&p2=0&a2=18040702&t2=41441&g2=AAECAwQFBgcICQoMERITFBobHB0eICUmJyg
3/5 unlocks an extra Cakewalk multiplier as well as Heavy Hail 5, and he also gets Pinpoint Entry 2 for his moves. My original clear had all of these with Candice instead of Kangaskhan, but it wasn’t working for me, so I went with a flincher + Defense debuffer and changed out Heavy Hail 5 for Endurance and the sync power-ups.
Vs. Flint: EX SS Silver / Tech NidoranF / SS Leaf – https://ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=003140&s0=1&l0=140&r0=1&p0=0&a0=21010101&t0=44&n0=1&f0=0&v1=013302021500&s1=5&l1=140&r1=5&p1=0&a1=21010101&t1=44444&g1=AAECAwQFBwobHiIkJykrNDU&v2=001710000300&s2=3&l2=140&r2=5&p2=0&a2=21010101&t2=4411&g2=AAECAwQFBggLDhUWHB0eICMkJw
4/5 gives Silver Defense debuffs and Evasion buffs, and this is where his utility as a LA soloist begins to show. He uses some of that here as well, as once Magmortar is taken down he has to rely on misses to see the clear through. SS Leaf + Tech NidoranF gave useful debuffs to help out.
Vs. Bertha: EX SS Silver / Darach / EX Palentines Bea – https://ng-pomatools.web.app/team?v0=015900039800&s0=5&l0=140&r0=5&p0=0&a0=13010602&t0=44111&g0=AAECAwQFBhESFRYZHB8gIyQlKQ&v1=013302021500&s1=5&l1=140&r1=5&p1=0&a1=21010101&t1=44444&g1=AAECAwQFCAwOERQWGx40NQ&v2=025001058400&s2=3&l2=140&r2=5&p2=0&a2=21010101&t2=44111&g2=AAECAwQFBggLDQ4QGhwfIiQ
5/5 unlocks Unfortunate Strike 9, which is what makes a majority of Silver’s LA solos possible. Since this is CS though, I went with the other unlock for this level in Soften Up 1 so I don’t have to worry about missed sync crits. PalBea changed the weather while Darach reduced evasion.
(Shout out to PalBea for missing all of her flinches lol. Good thing the Attack debuffs were effective.)

I love the format of this video; it’s nice how it was a pseudo grid guide ^^
I appreciate the commitment in changing all the loading screens to feature Silver lol
Hey are there any legendary arenas that can be cleared purely by MC (Bettie/Scottie) units? So pikachu, torchic, mesprit, coballion, Regirock, Solgaleo, and all eggmons are on the table. How many can be beaten without phoning a friend?
really great team building exercise! making ss silver work in different rotations based on his move level, his partners, and the stage he is in demonstrates proficiency with his kit and provides excellent insight on how his mechanics can thrive in a practical environment. i was wondering if his usage would suffer from b triple axel discouraging the half hp parameter, but i'm glad that wasn't the case 😁
ss leaf almost getting one-shot by flint's fire blast turn 1 scared me, she barely hung on!
On one hand, I’m happy Silver finally got a proper alt. On the other hand, I’m worried they’ll pass him by for a Johto Neo Champion alt.
Oh, I hadn't considered Darach for him, but the Spe buffs, Spe debuffs, and Eva debuffs line up really well! I've been really enjoying using Aaron (3x tm w/ Precision Pals & Team Strengthening Heal Order) for him, so he can ignore his own tm, and also save his B move for after his 1st Sync, then immediately follow up w/ his 2nd Sync.
I guess you can say Bea not getting any flinches left you
ASTONISHED
