Huge achievement for a year over year recycled game? Okay EA
lario00
How?
Low_Presentation6433
Frostbite engine. Even though it’s years overdo I guess it is an achievement.
Riomegon
Battlefield coming to Switch then right EA?
RIGHT EA?!
Ttm-o
Lol cause they’re actually trying to make a decent soccer game for the Switch.
Prspls1298
When madden
Show-Bubbly
When NHL
PokeHobnobGod21
So I’ll see this post on r/agedlikemilk in the future?
bransby26
EA sucks.
echoshizzle
“Necessary achievement” for when the switch 2 launches.
SacKingsAmiiboHunter
Is the fifa online community still dead on switch? I logged like 300 hours on FIFA switch before nintendo online fees kicked in. Once they went paid you couldn’t find a game in FIFA.
cchari
Very curious to see the actual performance of the game on the switch. I bet it will run at some stable 30fps, which is a downgrade from the current FIFAs on switch, but for the potential parity in terms of gameplay and features, it will be worth the payoff.

Where is that meme where Obama puts a medallion for another Obama.

I am calling not buying EA Sports (and with 1 exception for EA in generell) for ~20 years a huge achievement.
chl_ca
not making this game a “legacy edition” would be an achievement in it of itself
wicktus
After 120+ million units sold, EA decides that MAYBE working more on that Switch version could be beneficial to them…
Never too late but ffs I’d like to see them do something early once
Sale for BF2042, they just realised that releasing a game in a horrible technical state day one would be detrimental. So now they are trying to add what people want and rolled back on many aspects of the game
DarkP88
So if it was not for the legal situation with the FIFA Organization, they would have never improved the switch version and they would have kept selling the Legacy Edition to us.
I believe that they will sell this same version in future years so if there is someone interested, that person should buy this one and does not have to bother to buy the future editions.
InSixFour
So can we finally get Madden on Switch now? I’m a father of 4 so barely play games anymore but I do play Madden when I can. I’d buy Madden on Switch in a heartbeat.
DiarrangusJones
I never though just having a normal FIFA game on Switch would be such a huge accomplishment, insane they haven’t done this until now 😂
itsatrap5000
Next do NHL ‘95. I wanna put up 20 goals with Sergei Fedorov.
CaptainCheeseCake
and all it took is 7 years
tonyt3rry
hope it runs good might actually give it a go and buy it again. such a shame my steamdeck cant run the pc version of fifa.
hfutrell
Everybody going full sass and just ignoring the fact that maybe, just maybe, it *does* actually take real concerted effort to produce an uncompromised port for a game console with roughly half the computing power of even its 10 year old, previous-gen rivals.
I love the Switch and all but I was ready for an iteration with more horse power years ago and it will help devs immensely.
lilj1123
Cool now it’s even easier to target your kids with loot boxes and turn them into future gambling addicts (future customers) I wonder if they will include the annual full priced roster update…….
mlvisby
Wow, EA finally cares about the Switch? I am guessing they did because they can’t ignore the huge player base the Switch has. Can’t ignore over 100 million people.
MpyreM
In other words the title actually reads:
EA Sports Calls FC 24 on Nintendo Switch a ‘studio actually working’
Shadowbanned24601
Might actually get it on Switch again this year.
Actually shocked EA put effort into it after so many years of nothing, I assume Switch only has one or two more years left as Nintendo’s top console.
blackandwhitetalon
F1 23 when
xpldngboy
Whoa did EA lose the FIFA license? Maybe I’m living under a rock but that’s the big news to me.
chocotripchip
Sure EA, sure…
A big achievement after you ignored the platform for 6 years, maybe…
LukeSkywalker1848
Ok do NHL next please
Gomez-16
Does it have the gambling engine fantasy team? That be the only reason EA makes games anymore.
ParkBarrington360
EA Sports FC 24 on Switch is proof that they could’ve given us the real FIFA all this fucking time.
mugu007
If they are able to get frostbite running on Switch now, a competent group of devs should have been able to port it 5 years ago, instead of doing these Legacy Editions. It proves their corporate greed, choosing to not put this effort in when it mattered, now pretending it’s a feat of engineering.
XXNEONWINGXX
is just fifa 24 but with a new name
_Tranquil_Dude
And yet, I’d love just one NHL game on the Switch.
Baked_Charmander
A huge achievement in virtual blandness. I mean you’ve been making the same game over and over for decades now. It’s not a huge surprise that you’d become proficient enough at it that you’d manage to find a way to put it on less powerful platforms. I’m sure the masses of tracksuit-wearing, lager swilling, criminals that listen to loud shitty electronic music on the back of the bus, do coke, and beat up random innocent people in the streets will love it, though. Although I think those people all own xboxs. Mostly stolen ones they bought from CEX.

So does this mean we’ll eventually get PC/Switch editions for the NHL franchise or
ilovethe7thday
Can I put up 40 goals with Brazil against Qatar like I used to do back in ‘95? If not, then it kinda feels like a step backwards.
iceddeath
Won’t be another repackaged Legacy edition?
vaikunth1991
Never gonna believe anything until release. These are the same guys that released same game for 3 yrs on switch with just title & roster change.
