IMO the picture should say it all. I don’t want to sound like a spoiled crybaby, so I’II keep it short. But I think I that a solution to helping certain people in cases like this be able to participate shouldn’t be too difficult. Perhaps I verify my address and obtain a one use, time locked incense?(more for a CD situation, but still). I was really looking forward to perhaps hatching a ‘GL viable Lucario’, or even a shiny. But this kind of weather overheats your phone inside of a car with full blast AC, let alone what it does to your body and brain. 😵

Do you have somewhere where you can walk indoors? Like a mall? That’s what i did. They should really consider the weather with com/hatch days.

Disabled but driving rural player, drove for an hour, no hatches
It was like 120 where I’m at, I didn’t have the eggs saved up because I knew it would be that hot but even if I was prepared there’s now way at all I would have been able to even hatch one without it being dangerous
My egg inventory is filled with 7km and 10km eggs. I’m not going to go out walking and trying to hatch all these little jerks for the off chance of a shiny riolu. Gonna stay home and drink iced lemonade and sit in front of a fan.
On hot days hatch distance should be less because y’all got Flame Body…

Hey! I’m in Chandler AZ too! Surprisingly today was actually cooler than it’s been the last few weeks… We played at the Chandler Mall today and it was crowded as hell but at least survivable

I ended up walking around Walmart for about half of it.
You can walk on a treadmill or in your house back and forth with the game OFF and hatch the eggs. You don’t have to go outside.

I rode through that heat for 3 hours, of course with breaks in between under the shade of trees. Boy, it was tough

I wonder how hard it would be to implement (for any of these special 3 hours events) a “start button” for players, so that people could hit “start” and then the next three hours for them happens…
Seems like a decent compromise. Then you could go out in the morning/night, when it’s a little cooler/the sun isn’t destroying your phone via. overheating (that was my problem today), or people at work/etc could try to work it around their schedule for that day a little easier.
