I recently went back and tried to get into the previous pikmin games, and they just didn’t hold my interest to get me to the end. I picked up the 4th one, and I can’t put It down its a great time.
I just got into this series with Pikmin 3 DX and played Pikmin 4 all weekend. I hope this game sells 100 Pikmillion copies. It’s so fun
I really hope it sells well, it’s def the best in the series yet.

28 hours and I am addicted to 100% everything before moving on to the next section.
Hopefully Pikmin was the most common choice of the Zelda vouchers, so it has a larger than usual digital split because physically it sold less than Fire emblem Engage.
I just got into the series after sleeping on it since pikmin 1 back on the gamecube. IDK why I waited so long, the first game holds up very well imo.
I’d have got it too if it had multiplayer on the main story
So far – I liked Pikmin 3 deluxe more than Pikmin 4. Pikmin 4 is more tedious than puzzle solving.
And FF16 isn’t in the top 20 anymore. The ps5 exclusivity is hurting its sales.

It’s so much fun! I had a 6 hour flight recently and played for most of it, my only complaint is sometimes the dialogue/cutscenes get soooooo bad.
Enjoying it way more than Tears of the Kingdom, which I couldn’t force myself to get past the first temple. Hopefully it gets some DLC in the future.
Everyone was so worried so nothing. 3 Deluxe was at the time the best selling Pikmin game, and it was a port.
Pikmin 4 is leagues ahead of the other ones. Played them all back to back and the quality is just 5x the others.

I loved the first three games but always accepted they had some shortcomings and at times felt frustrating.
But geez Pik4 has really knocked it out of the park. You feel constantly engaged but never enraged. I’ve had an absolute blast with it.
It’s been really fun and glad to see it selling well especially after seeing that article with Miyamoto talking about why Pikmin doesn’t usually have the best sales. Though the loading times are definitely starting to annoy, they’re too long and hurt the flow of the game.
I adore Pikmin 1 and 2, but 3 was a let down and 4 doubles down on what I disliked about 3. I tried the demo, but I’m not sure if I’ll buy the full game.
No multiplayer is pretty shitty of Nintendo.
I enjoy aspects of pikmin, and have finished all three games, but i really hate the time trial mechanics, and ever since the first entry i have been keeping my fingers crossed they overhaul the design and do away with those parts of the game. Given they havent done that and are sticking to the time trial stuff, im not getting pikmin 4 till its on a deep sale. If they had announced they were gutting the timers out of the game, it would of been one of my most anticipated games of the year and i would of been there day 1.
Too bad they removed the multiplayer feature like in 3
I tried the demo but it was so tedious getting through all the dialogue. I was letting my 10 year old play and she just wanted to play the game! Does it get better as you go or is there always long speeches/instructions? It’s the worst part of Nintendo games for me – Animal Crossing is really bad for the long dialogue too.
I digital ordered it Friday. Played it all night Friday night and almost the entire day Saturday. Game is legit great. I already love it infinitely more than Pikmin 3 and I think it’s even better than Pikmin 2. It’s so good.
If the game had coop (no reason it shouldn’t and it is an absolute shame) I bet it would’ve sold even more. Almost didnt buy it due to this but it is still a great game nonetheless.

I’ve been eyeballing this but I hear there’s no co-op? Been thinking of playing 3 with my wife and then moving on to 4…. Guess that’s not possible? Is 3 worth it as just a standalone co-op experience?
