A wild Mon can only be shiny if it’s first stage evolution or can mega-evolve. Also, they won’t appear shiny on the overworld map.

Omg this was so me a few days ago but with espeon. I caught a shiny one with high CP and then I got even more excited as it was evolving but nope it was the illusionist zorua.

I had this with my shiny Beldum, my brightness was down so I didn’t see the sprite was shiny and freaked out when I clicked it.

I was a noob and Cosmog was my buddy. I was so excited! Then I realized it was Zorua. I didn’t know what Zorua was. Looking back I realize Cosmog can’t be caught in the wild.
