I’d go nuts for a new Elebits game on Switch.

  2. [deleted]

you forgot Ghost Trick ^^^^everybody ^^^^does

  3. Elebits looks awesome! Thanks for this great list. Definitely need to check some of these out, in particular the DS games.

  4. MyNewAcnt

EDGE was #1 in the App Store for quite a while when it came out, and for a damn good reason.

One I’d add for DS is Hotel Dusk Room 215. Picked it up randomly at Wal-Mart for $15 a long while ago, and it became one of my favorite DS games. The art style is different, but awesome. Love the sound and story as well. Would definitely recommend!

The original Elebits/Eledees on the Wii was great! Also really glad to see Soul Bubbles here. 🙂

  7. ForgedCymbeline

A great but lesser-known 3DS game is Stella Glow. Plays like a Fire Emblem game with Persona’s time system and support mechanics.

It’s an amazing game that unfortunately went unheard of due to the fact that the company had to file for bankruptcy directly after releasing it.

  8. I’d add alien infestation. It’s a pretty good metroidvania with fire emblem like permadeath

  9. Megamartinez

How about Inazuma Eleven. That game was my childhood man. It gets overlooked because of the voice acting and the premise but God damn of that game play ain’t fucking great.

  10. PapaProto

The Urbz was amazing. I loved it so much on the GBA then was thrilled when it came out with a ton of extras on the DS! I wish they made Handheld Sims games like that again.

  11. VentKazemaru

Solatorobo for the ds. Great visuals and music. Combat is similar to mischef makers where you grab and throw people.

Course its also full of dog/cat people and that turns away too many people.

  12. cwarren25

Thank you for this excellent list. Some lowkey faves & games I forgot/didn’t know about.

  13. PajamaWarriorJoe

Fossil Fighters Champions: I don’t know how well known it is, I do remember seeing some commercials I think but regardless it’s like Pokémon with dinosaurs so it’s great

  14. Boomshockalocka007

Finally a TRUE “lesser known” list. I had only heard of like 4/30 of those games. THANK YOU! Im so tired of “lesser known” video games lists and they mention games like Mario Kart…Kirby…Pokemon. Just so dumb! Anyways, great list as I will seek some of these games out!

  15. Theproton

DO NOT PLAY Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure.

The game is charming and will scratch that early 2000’s ps2/gamecube obscure platformer rpg itch you might have.

But it stutters like crazy and frames drop all the damn time.

Where is Custom Robo Arena? Seriously underrated gem.

  17. Solatorobo for DS is awesome and I think it doesn’t have the popularity it deserves

  18. Fossil Fighters, specifically Fossil Fighters Champions, will always have a special place in my heart.

You should also check out Drawn to Life. It has my favorite story in a video game with one of the most “wtf” endings I ever had (they used an overused trope but actually made it impactful to the story). The drawing mechanics were also very fun, adding platforms and weapons with your own art.

The saddest part about this game is the lack of people who know about it. The most popular videos about this game is a Game Grumps let’s play and the sequels ending (200,000). It was one of my favorites growing up and I still love it to this day. I gave a copy to my friend so he could try it out.

  20. [deleted]

Rhythm Thief & The Emperor’s Treasure was pretty good back in the day on the 3DS. Course it was a Sega IP, so… you know how long those last…

As for the DS: Elite Beat Agents, all the way.

  21. MarioMoon

Thanks for this great post, I’m always looking for missed gems or under the radar type games.

Spectrobes is an obscure weird game I loved as a kid
