Shouldn’t have used the master ball on this, g.zapdos is the hardest to catch, Atleast for me, I’ve caught 3 g.moltres out of 5 encountered, with ultra ball g.razz excellent, but none out of the 8 g.Zapdos I’ve encountered, no g.articuno encounters so far

I got unreasonably lucky yesterday, and caught galarian moltres with a raspberry and ultra curveball (not even a nice throw).
When I saw it spawn, I was tempted to use the masterball, but I just couldn’t bring myself to use it…
I was 100% resigned to have it flee, and couldn’t believe it, when it stayed in the ball!
0*, ~380 CP .. but hey, it’s rare and I still have my masterball!

I had this exact same thing happen and then a few months later I caught another one with no hope whatsoever, didn’t even get a nice throw. The new one is 1 star instead of two. I guess it’s an improvement!

its alright, I used my master ball on a 700 cp Moltres yesterday. the reason was I never encountered them in the past 4 months I used daily insense since I got back into game. I was only missing Moltres, zapdos, and mewtwo. Moltres was my favorite and the only one I would use the master ball on. These past three weeks I have encountered articuno 4 times on the same road and Moltres 3 times on the same road. I said fuck it and used the master ball. today I enountered articuno for a 5th time. its so weird I went from never seeing them while averaging 25 spawns an intense to getting them in bunches these past 3 weeks.

It’s a choice to be sad here… And I mean this in the nicest way… I would be pretty excited to find this beast. We know it’s no good for raids or pvp, so you’re probably not gonna be spending your rare candy to max it out, right? So… Do the IVs matter one bit? Not really… So my friend, take the glass half full route and enjoy the rare bird you just added to your collection! Congrats!
