Are the buttons configurable on the Switch itself? That is what ultimately made me leave the race to get an NSO N64 controller…the button preset can’t be changed!!

Cool, but I’d probably just buy one of the official ones from Nintendo.

I got fed up trying to get an official from the Nintendo store so I caved and bought this kit. It works great. I’ve heard people say the stick is hard to get used to, but I haven’t noticed any difference other than it not being crazy loose anymore. I tried using other controllers for N64 games on the Switch but just couldn’t get used to the weird button mapping for the C buttons, probably muscle memory from 20+ years ago. Overall, worth it IMO if you want an authentic N64 gaming experience and don’t want to pay scalper prices for a controller.

Looks cool. I already have the official one for Switch but I’ve got loads of N64 controllers in the attic. Might get this for my gold one!

  6. Got the kit. Now I just have to locate my broken controller.

Oh snap it’s solderless? I’m intrigued. It would be very cool to be able to use my old transparent purple controller with the Switch.

I got this myself and I gotta say it’s 100% worth it. It’s really good.

I bought the mod kit, have no idea when it’s shipping since my original ship date was the 10th and it hasn’t happened yet.

Now I gotta find an N64 controller either at my parents house or ask a friend. I won’t be paying for a controller that I plan on gutting

Grabbed this a couple of months ago and it’s fantastic. Frustratingly the rumble only works for Nintendo Switch N64 games, and not for anything else. I was hoping to use it more for N64 emulation, and it does work exceptionally well for that, just zero rumble.

Love that it shows up as an N64 controller when connected to the Switch too.
