Most of the duos with eggmons I’m doing for this Gauntlet are ones where I’m just making a solo easier, but there are some that don’t fall under that category. Here are four of them.

Very close. Uxie needs to be at -4 Attack so that Seel lives the Iron Tail. Spamming Ice Beam at the end was also important since I didn’t want Uxie to get under half health, I know SS N can solo this at 5/5 but since Nemona got all my omni candies, N will have to wait to be ready for anything.

When I first got him to 5/5 I was trying this solo, but his grid layout really sucks – he can’t get Power Plant, Unfortuitous, and his eva buffs because there isn’t enough energy for all of them. It’s probably possible with the best Unfortuitous luck in the world but Support Wigglytuff lets me move on to other clears for this Gauntlet haha. You should ideally have Attack debuffs so that Hau can comfortably tank the Earthquake, but as you can see here it wasn’t necessary.

Having to rely on 30% flinches on a stage like Moltres is not fun at all, but fortunately NC Serena also has accuracy debuffs to get her out of sticky situations. Tech Blastoise changed the weather so that Serena could actually debuff Moltres, but I ended up tanking with Serena since she has Refreshing Rain.

Got him after two YOLO multis since I think Leon’s Battle Tower outfit is his best look, and his theme is really good too. Ideally you should be able to get to your second sync without Uxie using Iron Tail, but it’s inconsistent – when I got this miss I just went along with it since I didn’t wanna reset anymore lol. I’m not sure if using Will-o-Wisp there instead would’ve been better.

Hoping we get Egg Tentacool someday. Very underrated Gen 1 Pokémon.
I ended up getting a clear with 3/5 Irida/Glaceon and Lorelei/Lapras on Moltres. Safe to say, that was probably the only way Lorelei was going to be useful in this rotation lol. Although, Lorelei's tanking was surprisingly competent given the healing hail she had.
I always get a kick out of Seel flapping around when I run it in Gauntlet. Makes me wish I hadn't evolved Pryce's.
The fact that I would never try a Moltres duo, not to mention a Solo 💀
Do you consider Battle Tower Leon to be a rival unit?
Also atleast you had better luck with him than me I had to go all in to get him which means anniversary is going to be sad for me.
"…N will have to wait to be ready for anything." I dunno if it's intentional, but that part of the description made me chuckle remembering SS N has a passive called "Ready for Anything" in his grid lol. In any case, very nice.
You have a lot of guts (and patience as well as perseverance) for duo-ing Moltres. I didn't even have the guts to do it. I know that the likes of Adaman and Champion Serena make it possible, and there's also SS Morty, but that bird is just too much for me and resetting for flinches is a pain lol. Great run so far, good luck with the rest of it!
I think this is the first time I’ve seen someone use Max Guard on purpose. Always happy to see eggmons at work!! I’m hoping we get some new ones on the anniversary since we’ve had a bit of a dry spell recently.
