Given that it’s just a port, I wonder if it runs any better than the original, namely PS3. I own the PS3 game and its choppy, blurry and slow sometimes, even with an SSD.

Game for weaker console than the Switch works on the Switch, entire fanbase under the impression that the Switch is a toaster is shocked at this revalation

    <dried out spongebob> I don’t need it…

  4. 1965BenlyTouring150

I’d pay $30 for it, but paying $50 just feels like being a sucker.

  5. For the price Rockstar wants for a decade old game on a current console, it being functional shouldn’t even be a concern.

  6. Space-Debris

    Why wouldn’t it? It’s a PS360 era game.

That shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone actually paying attention and not on this sub in bad faith just to troll.

Switch handles games from that generation better than the original consoles did. Portal and Portal 2 run at the full 1080p 60fps and is the new definitive way to play them outside of what you can force on PC.

The bar is so low for the gaming industry, y’all.

    I’m not paying 50$ for a 2010 game

Adding to the wishlist, I’ll picky it up on sale at some point.

Ready for downvotes I guess, but I don’t understand the pricing outrage around this game. If you don’t want it, don’t buy it. But this is Rockstar betting on the pure of this game. And it’s a very good game.

  12. I know people are pissed that it’s a full price port but I might get it. Only experienced the sequel and never played the original.

    “Nintendo’s tablet”.

    Kotaku are still salty

  14. Demoncreed27

I’d get it for $20 but no more than that

i just want a gta iv port man. handheld gta would be amazing

  16. So I can play Skyrim, BotW, The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption on a portable console? The future is now!

  17. EMI_Black_Ace

Given that GTA 3 trilogy was an absolute crap show this is good news.

  18. Definitely going to get it but waiting for it to hit $30-$40 before considering.

Wow, current gen hardware can run 13 year old game, stop the presses.

Miss me with that price though, especially since I bought RDR2 on Steam earlier this year for $20 and it’s a better game in every way.

  20. This price point, man. Hilarious watching Rockstar embodying all of the characteristics of the greedy corporations they portray in their video games. Super meta, very cool.

I love hearing, “Don’t buy RDR on switch.” They then say it is just a port… I only have Nintendo consoles so this would be my first time playing. I might buy it if it works.

  22. AlternativeCredit

360 game works on more powerful hardware…

    Okay

    Here’s my review

Wait until Black Friday when it’ll be on sale

  24. So this game will run at 30fps

But Pokemon Scarlet/Violet struggles at times to stay above 20fps?

    Make it make sense.

  25. DiabeticRhino97

Sounds cool, but I’m not paying 50 bucks for it

  26. stfnotguilty

Nobody was concerned a game from 2010 would have bad performance. They were angry and insulted by the $50 price tag.

  27. SpookyTrans

Well yeah I’d hope so it’s a 13 year old game.
