I have really been enjoying this on my switch. Total nostalgia from childhood. I remember the graphics blowing me away and gameplay as a kid. Fun game and fast action. I didn’t play the add ins as a kid they are fun but kinda boss rush mass enemy throw always a little

This is one of the best games ever! Bought it right away. Massive amount of content for 10 bucks. And it is just so addictive.

Almost unbelievably good for $10!
I can’t believe how much I’ve been enjoying it

Played it a bunch online the other night. Had so much fun playing capture the flag. Cross platform works great. The other people I was playing with were on ps5 and PC if I remember correctly. I can’t believe it was really so long ago I was playing this on my PC.
Regrettably_Southpaw
I heard it had fps drops

mine’s great but multiplayer keeps disconnecting

Loving it on Switch!
I did manage to run into a repeating crash error though. It was in the level where you need to collect the commander’s head in vanilla Quake 2. Medium difficulty, which might be relevant if it’s related to the entity count.
At one point you’re supposed to go down an elevator which leads to a lower level filled with insane prisoners and guarded by brains and parasites.
Every single time I went down that elevator (or if I stood at the entrance to that elevator for too long trying to bargain with god), the game would crash and kick me back to the home screen. I managed to fix it by walking back through the earlier level for some time and coming back. Not certain, but I think the issue was related to too many of those insane prisoners being in one spot, potentially even an audio overlap bug because they constantly vocalise.
I suspect that walking back through the level gave them time to scatter and separate somewhat while being far enough away that their audio cues weren’t triggering, which let me revisit it and clear without seeing the bug.

Lmao I thought I was the only person who wished they implemented 3-point texture filtering for Quake 2 64.
