They should axe Mario in general. Whatever replacement won’t live up to the original and with it will come subtle changes and it just won’t feel right, just like every single time a replacement in history ever comes around “Obviously there’s always an exception to the rule”.
But realistically come on baby mario exists play into that. Mario had a kid, Nintendo can take 5-10-15 minutes who knows… Make a short film explaining that Mario had a kid that was hidden away from bowser or something “insert plot here” and start them young so said young person has a multi generational career to grow into instead of piggybacking off of a tried and true legend. It’s disrespectful to the OG if you ask me.

There is a close to 100% chance it will be… some voice actor who is fitting for the role. Probably someone most people wouldn’t recognize. After all, it wasn’t like Charles Martinet was a big household name before he got the gig as Mario.
Based on these odds, you have to be a special kind of stupid to bet any money on that.
