Quite frankly, I enjoyed Barbie a million times more than Mario despite being a lifelong Mario fan. Barbie deserves to do better, although I still think Mario was a necessary movie, just not nearly as good as most people make it out to be.

Saw the Barbie movie last weekend. One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Right up there with Family Stone, Mystery Men etc as worst movies I’ve seen.

I mean a unique take vs a by the number kid’s movie. Glad it’s getting the attention is deserves. Mario Movie was fine but that was just it, it was amazing because it wasn’t bad while the Barbie movie deserves the acclaim it’s getting for being good against all odds.
As much as the mario movie got right, it’s still a 7/10 film.

Barbie was okay, it just couldn’t make up it’s mind what kind of movie it wanted to be. It should have either stayed in the Barbie world, or stay in the real world.

Barbie got a huge pump by broadcasting in China , (which is why they have a map supporting China), meanwhile videogames in general are discouraged in CH .. and Nintendo has almost zero presence there
