Pokemon Go announced their new season GO Battle League: HIdden Gems. With this we saw a ton of move updates including buffs to walrein, dunsparce, alolan sandslash, clefable, emolga, and others with a nerf to trevenant.
This week is catch cup and master league. Catch Cup is a 1500CP Great League where you can only use pokemon you caught during this season of Hidden Gems
In this video I use three super strong pokemon from this season of GBL. Quagsire got a mud bomb buff which means many people caught and built one up this season. Dubwool had multiple events which means it has become more of a staple. Charmander was everywhere so charizard still super strong following wing attack buff a few seasons ago.

I’m using quagsire and charizard as well but with Noctowl instead of dubwool which has gotten me to 3370. Quagsire has been amazing on the lead I love it
Also ran Dubwool and Quagsire in the back. Led with Whimsicott. It was a good day.

I ran similar a team but led with shadow A. Ninetails with charm. Takes care of poliwraths, haxori, and greninjas
Kinda hope they nerf wing attack.. maybe not as bad as it was before, but not as good as it is now

How did the opponent at 11:00 have a purified sableye in catch cup? As far as I know shadow sableye wasn’t available this season, am I missing something here?
I’ve been playing catch cup with Quagsire, Ferrothorn & WigglyTuff and it’s been going really well so far!
Your team building / frequent complaints about the strength of the Lanturn/Noctowl core has finally imprinted itself in my brain lol. Looked at my Catch Cup pokemon and ran Pelipper/Quagsire as substitute core with Dubwool safe switch. Been doing ok, but I'm only casual pvp anyways. Once I hit rank 20 for the elite TMs I stop caring. 🙂
I was so confused about catch cup because I could use all of my Pokémon so it played just like great league. Then I realized that since I started playing this season that’s basically what it is for me 😂.
You mentioned that Body Slam is not a very good move. Maybe you meant that it's not a nuke move, but Body Slam is one of the best moves in the game, especially with STAB on Dubwool.
