I have been playing since day 1 and finally hit 38.
My daughter has been playing for a year and a half and is the same level as me.

She said the trick is to only catch Pokémon with excellent curveballs.
I’m not that good at throwing. I usually can get great. Rarely excellent.
I’m doing the excellent throw task and have only made it to 75 in 2 days.
She completed it in 1.

I’ve played off and on since day one. I am legacy 40 so I did get there before they expanded the levels. But I definitely understand taking breaks over the years.
Lately I have gotten too into the PvP aspect so I need to keep catching to build up my teams.

I was level 34 in February when I started playing again (moved to an area that has a good community to raid and play with) and now I’m level 42 about halfway to lvl 43.
