Congratulations Trainer and welcome to the 40 League!
If you intend to work toward higher levels, be aware they require both XP and tasks which have to be completed before you can level up.
The tasks (with the exception of medals) all have to be done at that level and cannot be completed beforehand. Do your research now so you can be prepared. E.g. At one level you have to evolve all the Eevolutions — start collect your Eevee candidates, lures and Eevee candy now.
Re: medals. Level 41 requires 5 Gold Medals, Level 43 requires 5 Platinum Medals, etc. Keep them in mind as you play and give them some work.
