I was hoping for $29.99, but figure it would be $39.99. I don’t think I will be picking it up anytime soon at that price.

Thought it would be $40 like captain toad. Will wait on it
Edit: Just saw the Tomb Raider trilogy is $30. That’s $10 a game whereas this is $50 for one… The ole Mario tax.

You see, this is problem with remakes , they’ll overcharge you but people will still buy it and Nintendo profits off it. I know that’s the point but for us it’s not fair .

Nice to see Nintendo has continued to offer lower prices for their recent remasters and remakes. It’s why it didn’t make sense for Advance Wars: Reboot Camp to be full-price, was one of the big criticisms towards it, and why I suspect it has seemingly not sold well.

I’m sorry but I’m buying this at any price.
My first game was the Gameboy Advance version of this. Got a limited edition Mario vs DK Gameboy Advance SP for Christmas in 2004. I still have the Gameboy and this game right here.
I need to have this 20 years later.

Lol these prices are why my switch collects dust, can’t afford any of their games when they never go on sale.

Reminiscent of the final days of the 3DS, where ports/remakes were most of what was coming out as full-priced titles. Feels like the B Teams are finishing off some simple while everyone else is moving to the next hardware.
Superboi-Prime
Seems like a lot to charge for what is (if I recall) a pretty small game. Feels like they should have just added the original version to NSO.

I’m excited because I went from SNES to PS1 and stopped altogether at PS3 until I got my switch at the beginning of 2022, so all these ports are brand spanking new to me and look and run great. Usually with some appreciated QoL stuff to boot. Bummed about the Mario tax, but seeing how quickly TOTK had sales/used copies I have hope I can get it under 40 within a few months

That’s… too much. But it’ll be available for less physical – I reckon $35 is the sweet spot.

That’s way too much for a remake of a GBA game. How the hell did they price this at $50 but Metroid Prime Remastered at $40? Pretty sure this game came out on GBA for $30 bucks.
DMaster86
Nintendo can keep it at that price
ParadiseRegaind
Lol, no. $29.99 would be fair. $39.99 at the absolute most. I’m not paying $50 for this.
_DontStayTheSame_
Tipping Stars was $20 on Wii U. $50 for a remake of a 2004 GBA puzzle game with co-op is scummy.
$50 for a brand new entry? I’ll actually consider that. But Nintendo’s getting too damn comfortable with these rehashes of old games, to the point it annoys me. Good for newcomers, not me

10 bucks, take it or leave it.

Don’t get me wrong, the game’s gorgeous, and I remember playing it a lot. That being said, this is a $40 game at most. Get Celeste

Metroid Prime Remastered is $39.99. I guess since this has Mario in the name it has to be at least $50
Hestu951
Way too much for a reskin of an old GBA game, even if it brings some extra perks and QoL improvements.

I was looking forward to this game but not for $50. Nintendo remakes and ports are severely overpriced. Meanwhile other companies/games like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot are also ground up remakes of trilogies for $40

lol. They lost their mind

I’ll buy it if Mario calls DK a big monkey
Ben_Frenzy
No hate to this game but it’s a rip-off like almost every other Nintendo port
