Duoing 6 Legendary Arenas with the Paldea starter eggmons [Pokemon Masters EX]

I quite like this new batch of eggmons – the supports having field effects is great, and most of the tech eggmons are worth looking at too. I’ve been fortunate enough to hatch most of them early, so I figured I’d bring them to some LA duos.

(You’ll notice that a big omission here is Support Sprigatito – I’d only hatched a 1-passive one at the time I’m uploading this. I’ve hatched a 3-passive Tech Fuecoco too but it’s hard to find a duo partner for it haha)

While the support variants have field effects and Tech Sprigatito is a reliable flincher, the one I was most looking forward to getting was Tech Quaxly. Growl is an underrated utility move as AOE attack debuffs aren’t common, and AguaAgua puts them to good use against Latias. Summarnie appreciates the Attack debuffs as it comboes well with her Sp Atk debuffs.

No-paralysis runs on Tornadus have to account for the rain in Bar 1, which FuegoFuego is all too happy to oblige. Anni N needs the sun boost so that the team gets out of Bar 2 without Tornadus syncing or using Fly. He’s gridded with Quick Cure here as most of my Bar 3 attempts had N taking a Swagger but this run turned out not to need it. You need some of the Hurricanes in Bar 1 to miss for this to work.

Tech Sprigatito has one of the best gauge tools among eggmon flinchers as it has all of +4 Speed, MGR 2, and Haste. GatoGato is able to keep BT Leon going here by landing all those flinches, giving Leon time to debuff and sync.

Support Quaxly feels like it was made explicitly with Moltres in mind as it not only has Rain Dance, but it also has teamwide Speed buffs to counter the opening Speed debuffs. LluviaLluvia pairs with SC Diantha here, who has to hope that her 30% flinch rate is cooperative.

This is a variant of the Flannery + Tech Ninetales duo that I saw going around in LG9. I don’t think it’s necessarily easier, but Flannery does appreciate being able to max her Sp Atk.

I hatched a bunch of Tech Sprigatito before getting a shiny variant, and I kept this one since I had Defense Crush 2 on it, which made it perfect for Entei. Pretty straightforward flinch clear that would’ve been a lot easier if SS Erika got MPR on Sunny Day.
