Is this any good?



Pretty sure gyarados isn’t the best in great or ultra league so I’m not sure where it could find usage

    It was decent in UL but the current meta is not favorable as it used to be for Gyarados (currently ranked 100, so barely usable).

    In GL it can have a few niche uses too as an anti Carbink, Stunfisk, Bastiodon and Excadrill Pokemon, and the raw damage of shadow Waterfall is pretty good there. It would be stronger in limited GL cups.

    And in any case you’ll have to wait until an event lets you remove Frustration and then wait for a second event to get Aqua Tail, so there’s no hurry to evolve it anyway.

    The meta might shift again at any point and this one has excellent stats so it’s better to have it and not use it, than need it and not have it.
