Beyond the Hype. I created this series as there is a lot of click bait and false impressions of pokemon and I want to give you a real in depth analysis of whether a pokemon is worth spending dust and candies on.

Pokemon GO has just announced the Adventures Abound season featuring the pokemon found in the Paldea Region. This season of GO Battle League features a significant move updates includes nerfs, buffs, and new moves. In total it came with over 150 move updates.

With all these move updates, this video will focus on pokemon that received a significant buff for this upcoming season of GO Battle League either through moves specifically being buffed or access to new moves.

This week it is psychic cup and great league. Psychic Cup is a 1500cp (Great League) that only allows psychic pokemon. Great League is a 1500cp cup with no restrictions.

Noctowl is out, Lickitung and Sableye back in. Gligar is super meta now. Mandibuzz can deal with a lot of these pokemon.

  1. I only have a rank 200 none shadow gligar is that worth powering up?

  2. 17k subs is a nice size community, do you get paid decently for this?

  3. The swampert mandibuzz core is so strong. I’ve been running that a lot this season with a lickitung safe swap instead of gligar

  4. I’m having good luck with Golbat again as my flyer. PF for fairy’s and SB is nasty. Also running Whiscash as my mudboi, Blizzard helps with Gligar

  5. Mandibuzz is quite good, but Bombirdier is the spice!

Been trying to run Bombi today but it can’t tank the Counters or Ice Punch from Medi at all. 😅

  6. One thought on the vids: the shadow vs non-shadow vid has a higher chance to catch future views. Where as cup battles are less likely to be viewed once the cup/season is over. I've not had time to watch a lot of vids lately; but that shadowVnon vid us ine ima gonna watch soon; nit the case with the psychic cup vids.

  7. I've been running azumarill since this new season BUT instead of ice punch I have Hydro Pump. It catches alot of people off guard and I pair it with a medi and A. Sandslash

  8. I had great success with Shadow Aslash/Wigglytuff/Jellicent. Even though Registeel is a corebreak, I haven’t seen it as much this season. But having two strong Medicham answers helps a lot.

  9. I don’t have a lot of the meta Pokémon. I have some decent ones for great league though. Last two days I’ve been running poliwrath, registeel, froslass. Ice punch and pup on the poliwrath. It’s been working pretty well for me so far, just got to level 20 on my last set yesterday. 2041 elo. Funny enough I ran into Noctowl 4 or 5 times. Which surprised me in the back one or twice lol.

  10. To ANYONE who hasn't seen the GL XL substitute video, please go watch it. It's a thorough technical presentation on playstyle, team composition, and general battle theory. No its not a super high energy SHOUTcast. Its even better.

  11. Can you please test a team with Alohan ninetails?

I use the shadow one with charm but curious to see how you would use it. I lead it with Medicham and carbink in the back at 2300 elo and charm hits hard

  12. Using Water gun Lanturn. Everyone assumes it'll be spark so it catches everyone off guard.

  13. How about trying out toxapex? Nothing walls azumarill quite like it, it's basically free farm from 100 to 0 if you lock into it. If i had the XL for liki i'd try medi/licki/toxapex.
